I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up that it will magically be running by the time I get there in a little over a month. Especially after being one of those April travelers. It's hard though.

Things sound promising right now. Quick, someone convince me it won't happen before October 17 (my last night in the parks and my birthday, woo) then I can just be pleasantly surprised if it is running then!

I was one of those April travelers, too.......then, July........and will be back Oct 18. I'm leaving some time open on the 21st and / or the 25th, but realize it may not happen. Still have my RoL button which the AK characters got a kick out of in April!

A top and reliable blogger noted that AK hours had been reduced from 9 pm to 7:30 pm for rest of September. I posted but said I was going to research it further. It turns out that the website and one app remained the same but the android, which I assume he uses, showed the hours had changed. Guess he further investigated and then later posted that he reported it to WDW that the app had an IT problem since it was the only on one platform. But I can see given all the AK issues how it might be believable without a night show.

And now IT problem is understandable with all the IT issues and hands not knowing what others are doing.

Totally but did you guys know that now Fantasmic! dinner package tickets are good 5 days from the actual dinner package. So like, you could have dinner on the Monday on the F! dinner package, and use the tickets any other day within 5 days? I just found that out, but I'm not sure how new that info is.

I saw someone else talk about it ............. it kinda stinks - what if more people show up than that middle section holds. If I am there on my actual day I would not be happy to be relegated to the next section. Are they only selling 1/5 capacity of that middle section each day? I could maybe see the doing it first show only on your day, second show over next 5 days.

Is Fantasmic every night right now? I guess if not the only way to sell the package is do this but I hope they've crunched the numbers fairly.

But hey this will be no news once the ROL Dining Packages open ............. if they can't run this show multiple times a night, what are they going to do? to handle all the folks showing up for standby? Hand out wristbands and tell the rest good night? FINGERS CROSSED it truly can run more than once ...........

This is relatively new. They offer it with the MSEP dining package as well. But only if your show is cancelled.

We had that on or Aug 10-21 trip. I think it's a great idea -- to pay for that pkg and miss it entirely because of rain stinks. Wonder if they just effectively make the reserved section larger if more need to be accommodated. Would mean that you have a greater chance of a marginally worse view, but I think MANY seats in that theatre are decent.

Umm... oh my... I just looked over my plans for my 10-day trip and realized the only evening I have scheduled in AK is a day where I can't make fastpasses ahead of time. One option I have is that on our last full day I have a PPO Tusker House that I'm thinking I might be able to release and re-book as a ROL pkg once they start booking those. If we did that though, we'd probably be eating breakfast there to get our tickets for ROL and then spending the rest of the day at MK before returning for the show at night (it's a party day at MK). That would pretty much be nuts, right? LOL, I think I need to look at my plans and see what else I could juggle.
