Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Maybe April 22nd is the day dining packages will be available? Maybe the first few showings will be first come first serve?

Here is my problem. I thought the interview and all the information about the show was beautiful. However, my trip is in April when this show is debuting. My best chance to see it is to purchase a ticket to one of the preview events. These events have limited capacity and seem to be highly sought after. I need to be on the ball when these tickets go on sale or else I will get shut out.

I was under the impression that the tickets would go on sale, or else that we'd get a date. To those who are disappointed that a lot of us are upset, that is my story.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you. :)

And yes, I was disappointed that there's no info about preview events. I also think all the "questions" were pre-selected. The whole "live chat" felt extremely contrived, though I'm sure the show will be delightful (IF we get to see it).

Same here. We fly home on the 23rd so it's either one of the preview events or fastpasses for the 22nd.

they wouldn't!

would they!?
At this point, anything is possible. Maybe tomorrow they'll open up for maybe it'll be April 22nd. All I know at this point is that my family won't be seeing it during our long weekend. We'll wait till December. (And yes, it'll about kill me!)

Same boat with the April travelers...I feel your struggle! We only have one AK day available too, the 25th! Hope they open FPs soon or something. From what I've been told when I call Disney Dining no dining packages will be available until May 1st.

I have spent my whole day off today on this! I just need one little dining package for May 24 or 25th! I'm bringing my younger cousins for a first trip/ graduation present and really want them to get to see it. If not for them I think I might wait til my October trip!

This is also my story - minus the earlier tornado warning...

Plus, if us April folk need to adjust plans to accommodate one of the preview events, we need time to shuffle! Balancing between the Disney edict to plan everything in advance with things changing and inadequate information, it has been particularly challenging to plan this trip!

Folks really should just quit asking them. They.do.not.know. Period.
Why they can't use those words is beyond me. It's perfectly ok to say "I am sorry, I don't know"
It's ridiculous that they make up things to say.

I think they make things up because it gives an answer. No further questions from that caller. It's annoying, I agree. And when the guest finds out they were given a bit of a fib, it's not like they are happy, either.

However, there have been times when something new opens and I've heard about it because someone on here just kept calling to ask until they DID know.

More recently, announcements have come via DPB or Disney on Twitter or the like, but I don't think we can totally rule out that calling MAY yield info sooner in some cases. Though less likely than it used to be.

So I take it we know nothing more about when the Fps & Dining Pkgs will become available? I was at lunch (celebrating my bday )during the live chat and there are so many posts since

Correct. Nothing new on that. Just that the venue has a capacity of 5,000 per show.
