Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Unless they open up TH or Tiffins looks like I won't be doing a dining package for the JB show. No way I'm paying 44 per person for 2 people with allergies who won't be able to eat there. It's fp or bust. Oh well with 2 nights maybe there will be stand by:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
The $44 is for TH, not Flame Tree.

This was just posted by @yulilin3 on @OhioStateBuckeye's Animal Kingdom update board:

I seriously don't know where to post this...doing my daily HUB checks I saw that Flame Tree will offer the dinning package associated with The Jungle Book :Alive with Magic, it's showing for 1st 2nd and 3rd show viewing so it looks like the show will be performed 3 times a night. Here's the info. No word on when this will open for booking

Prices: Adult: $23.42, Child: $12.77 $$ ($15 to $34.99 per adult)

The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic Dining Package provides Guests with a choice of dining experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and reserved seating to the new nighttime show The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic. After enjoying a mouthwatering meal, experience the beauty of the nighttime show that celebrates the relationship between animals and nature through live performers, grand theatrical imagery, a soaring musical score and innovative special effects.

Package includes choice of one (1) entrée with three sides, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage, reserved seating for The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic show.

Guests will book a dining time, but this is a QSR (Quick Service) experience - there is no table service provided.

Guests should arrive at their reserved time and they will select their meal and pay at the location.

Reservations available starting at 2:30pm until 1 hour 15 minutes prior to the show time. Guests will receive their show credential at the location
.

Here's the info from Tusker House, it looks like only Dinner will have the Jungle Book show attached to it, same for 1st, 2nd and 3rd show

Prices:
Adult: $44.73, Child: $26.63 $$$ ($35 to $59.99 per adult)

Payment Methods Accepted: Travelers Checks, Key to the World, Cash, Visa, Disney Dollars, American Express, Disney Rewards Card, Master Card, Diners Club Card, Gift Card, Disney's Visa Credit Card, Discover, JCB, Disney Gift Card, KTTW Package Entitlements, Dreams Reward Card

The Jungle Book Dining Package provides Guests with a choice of dining experiences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and reserved seating to the new nighttime show Rivers of Light. After enjoying a mouthwatering meal, experience the beauty of the nighttime show that celebrates the relationship between animals and nature through live performers, grand theatrical imagery, a soaring musical score and innovative special effects.

Package includes one (1) buffet meal, reserved seating for Rivers of Light show.
Guests must dine 2.5 hours prior to show start as they will receive their show credential at the dining location.
As you can see it looks like the Disney IT got lazy and basically copy/pasted the info from RoL, it still mentions it in the Tusker House info
If the Flame Tree price includes ANY entree, that price is really quite low. If you order the full rack, Disney is basically paying you to watch the show. :rotfl:

Hi friends, so what is the going theory on how disney will handle evening dinkng packages for dates that are already booked with ADRs?

Obviously since FT is QS there will be packages available there- but what about TH? If you need to finish dining a set amount of time before the show starts, seems they wouldn't have much to offer if they just do the time slots that newly open past the current closing time....

My brain hurts!

That's ok I got qs and ts prices mixed up! No sleep and spending all of yesterday finding a new car for my dh, my brain went on vacation. I need to head to the lounge for a couple or 4

How many hearts just skipped beats :yay:, fingers scrambled on keyboards :hyper: and ................... now the glimmers of hope ............... shattered.

Guilty! As soon as I started reading the post I immediately opened MDE to check if FPs were available for fake ROL. And when they weren't, I checked to see if the FT dining package was available. I'm so pathetic.... :sad2:

They may have held some earlier times back? That's what they do for Candlelight Processional.

Catching up on people's trip reports and the thread and such...feel like things have been very hectic since we returned - haven't really even been able to put my thoughts together on this trip...

So, then my daughter had a seizure on Sunday. We're hoping it was a one time thing but things have been a bit stressful - she is having an EEG tomorrow morning. I have to keep her up until Midnight - she has to be sleep deprived. She is my early bird so this will be no small feat. I can't even keep her up in Disney doing fun stuff. She's already crabby. We may have to go to IHOP or Dunks.

Right now we are watching bad tween shows and coloring and thread-catching up.

So, tell me...what is the Jungle Book thing? I am reading back a few pages but yet I am lazy and would like to be spoon-fed the information...

So sorry to hear about your daughter....sending some pixie dust your way!

The Jungle Book show will bridge the gap until ROL is ready to open. Here's the DPB article:
