Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I've got a lot of pages to catch up on- I guess that's what happens when work gets in the way.
I got home and found a nice early surprise in the mailbox so I figured I'd share. If you see me in the parks 4/20-4/25 be sure to say hi.
I'm all ready for the lounge!!!

I'm not good at selfies

So glad it came out so big and clear .....

........ We are Rumors of Light ... HEAR US ROAR!

Unfortunately, My plan was to head to PP first on the Tues I was going to MK. So instead, I dropped my Buzz FP and picked up the PP one. Will go to Buzz at RD and hope the other fantasyland attractions are too crowded later.

We had no trouble getting Buzz FP's last summer as a 4th, 5th, etc. even though we were a party of 5. There always seemed to be availability and it was often either immediate or within 10-15 minutes. So if there's something more pressing that you'd rather do at rope drop, you should be able to get a same-day FP later for Buzz especially if you're spending most of the day in MK. The Dibb is showing availability for Buzz every day for the next 2 months.

Friends of the Lounge, Disney might have called RoL off but that won't stop me!

On 4/22 at sunset, catch me floating around Discovery River.
I'm putting on my own version of RoL with the following items:
super soaker, pool raft, strobe light, glow in the dark body paint, and glow sticks.

THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!

FWIW, the episodes of The Middle where they go to Disney World are on Free (formerly ABC Family) right now. These two episodes never fail to make me laugh until I cry. I can relate to so many things....the binder....92 more days to Disney World.....1114 miles to Disney World!!!! The first time my kids saw the episodes they asked the writers contacted me to get ideas of what Disney World addicts do to prepare for a trip. :D

Yep I said that. Sometimes they don't get one show off though.
Their not being able to do multiple shows per night actually makes a lot of sense
It clear from all the test videos that the show does work
Just evidently not consistently.
I'm not sure what is easier to figure out
A part of the show that doesn't work at all or one that works sometimes

I'm in! Can I be a shaman? Or a lantern? I love that inflatable lounge - wish it had a cupholder for my Maggie Cosmo!

That episode cracks me up! But it makes me anxious because they're wasting so much TIME! And when they sleep in - Aaahhh! :scared1:

I get weepy when Mike takes Frankie to France!

Splain please. popcorn::

Thunder storms

Yep. Pretty big one here; lasted for almost 5 hours and I now have a river for a back yard. Seriously, the three year old asked to get out her float and go swimming :sad2:

The wind is still bad this afternoon.

I'm in - we should assign a committee to build lotus floats...let me know what I can bring!

We could just get a bunch of those LOUNGER floats from Wally world or target (haha ...LOUNGER floats ... see what I did there? hehe ... maybe I should step away from the special RoL cocktails that @KMWoolley posted earlier o_O)

Are Cheetos an acceptable snack for the Lounge? They do have a Cheetah as a spokeperson...

Is anyone available to bring the Zebra Domes?

I would guess something that doesn't work at all. Something that doesn't work consistently is often not a good thing.

It's way to complicated a topic to start in to here. But there is a HUGE thread with all the details over on the FP board. I'll hunt down the link for you.

I tried to find the link to the thread but I struck out. Maybe someone else has it, or knows who started it?
Thanks Angi, I tried looking at the Fp+ threads but couldn't find anything about it. Think I complicated myself more as well about Fp+ even though I thought I knew how to use it and have used it for 2 trips

If I wanted to send an email to someone at Disney regarding my feelings about these Extra Morning Hours, who would I send it to?

Hey friends, does anyone recall (or have an easy link to) the original info on the rumored dining packages?

I'm interested in when the supposed first show might be (time wise) and how many hours prior the dining package must be...

Thx!

Does anyone else do park math, in regards to valuing the time spent sleeping in? What I mean is, say my tickets cost me $100 for today, and the park is open for 14 hours. That means if I sleep in and don't get to the park until 10:00am, I've spent almost THIRTY DOLLARS for my family of four to sleep in!?!

Oh....No one else does that? Okay then :rolleyes1

It must be DARK for the show to be seen correctly.
Which is also true of Fantasmic!

And, they want to start the first show as SOON as it is dark.
Which is also true of Fantasmic!

So, check the start-time of Fantasmic! on any given date for a good indication.
