I guess I'm in the minority here, but I'm really not hurt or upset by the ROL news. Too many things in every day real life that I'll reserve my feelings of frustration and hurt for. In the grand scheme of things, ROL registers about a 0 on the importance scale. Anyway...

My AK day was set to be 4/25, and it still will be. I planned accordingly and as best as I could given the lack of any ROL news, and I left the evening open just in case there was no ROL fp+, ROL ADRs etc. I was thinking I'd just do Flame Tree BBQ for dinner that night if there were no ROL dinning packages. Now I suppose I may go to DS and eat at Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Pucks Express. Or maybe I'll park hop. Who knows? Whatever my family is in the mood for at that time, we'll do.

I still plan on having a great trip regardless of ROL. I would have gone with or without ROL, and I wouldn't dream of cancelling my trip just because of the ROL news that came out today. I'm going to be having a great time 18 days from now!

It's okay to be in the minority. I think that most of us feel that the main issue is parading out blog articles, concept art, new footage, story details AND a launch date, then pulling it, is a lack of forsight, good leadership, and common sense.

Again I have to state that there was zero value of announcing any dates unless it was 100% certain. What's the old saying "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than opening it and removing all doubt..."

My post was in response to the announcement of the early morning hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting the last week of April...which is when we will be there. I was venting my frustration...not only did they finally pull all hopes of ROL from us today, by starting this new "elite" special offer, they pretty well negated my diligently following THEIR rules of booking my BOG early reservation at day 180 from our arrival, to gain a small advantage of perhaps riding a couple of attractions before the crowds descended.

I was warned, and while not restricted from posting, a have a black mark against my DIS account for breaking their rules. Put this together with the ROL postponement, and the EARLY MORNING MAGIC, and I would say it has definitely been a less than Disney Day!!!

My daughter's first day at Disney, was excited for a BOG 8 am breakfast. Now I need to rework my entire plan for MK 4/30 and AK 5/2.

I... feel a little heart broken at the moment.

I'm sorry to hear that. Were affected a little by EMM but not as badly.

I do have a question for my peeps here. So I still have my 6:10 ADR for TH on May 16. It says park is closing at 6pm. How late will the busses run after that?

I skimmed but didn't see that anyone answred you. They run the bus for you whenever you're finished. It is AWESOME! Did this last year and was worried about it. They asked our resort when we checked in. We had a very leisurely dinner and when it was time to leave, there was a bus waiting for us. I would totally have done this again (maximize park time, minimize transportation time) but when I first did ADRs closing at AK was 5 pm so I did Chef Mickeys. When the hours changed DH was wedded to doing something different. Enjoy, it's very nice.

And on less happy, so not loving EMM during our last day. Anyone know if they currently hold people until exactly 9 on ENH days? On a normal day you get the 15 min RD head start which is nice. I'm assuming they won't do that on EMM days now. But I'm curious what they do on EMH days currently.

I wonder how much revenue loss Disney is really looking at. How much more do they make by guests staying in the park an extra 4 hours? Enough to cover all of the expenses for extra CM hours? (Apparently not or they would be opening AK for evening hours even without ROL.)

I imagine some people will cancel their trips but overall Disney may actually see a revenue bump. All of the people who were planning to see RoL as part of a ticket they already paid for will now upgrade to ParkHoppers or schedule a fancy ADR at a resort. Anyone notice that they waited to announce the cancellation until everyone booked through the first week of May was past their no fee cancellation date? Disney will get their money.

But I have to say I finally figured out why I love this thread. There where quite a few people here who said they will change they AK day and/or not go. Usually there's someone with a rude comment popping up afterwards about how there will be shorter waits for everyone else then. I didn't see that here. Which is why this thread is so awesome!!!!!

How do you think they'll close that loophole? They could have done that a long time ago by tying SDFP to valid park admission but they didn't. It would have been an "easy" fix. I don't know how making a 4th FP from your phone would change that? You probably can't make a FP for the phantoms from the phone but I expect you still can at the kiosk. I think the added feature is more to reduce the lines at the kiosks.

It's quite irritating..... close to 6AM EST and there is no mad dash rush needed to the computer to check for ADRs....
