Or do we think they are saying mid to late May so people will stop calling every day, but they actually plan to make an announcement sooner?

I'm thinking (hoping?) they might have learned a lesson here. They need to under promise and over deliver, not the other way around. I'm thinking worse case scenario is they announce mid to late May that it won't be opening until June, but I'm going to be optimistic and think they'll get it straightened out sooner, and they'll announce beginning to mid-May that it will open within a couple of weeks from that announcement.

I have to say that yes this is unfortunate and even though I don't have a trip in April or May I feel for those who. Most news of delays came after they had announced the April 22nd date. This is a brand new show in a spark that has never had a nighttime experience before. These technical delays were unexpected and unfortunately from time to time they happen.

I am SO disappointed right now. I too thought I had accepted the fact that ROL may not be ready for the 22nd when I will be at AK. However I was just as excited for the tree and safari at night. I thought I would at least get that. Now I have to tell my kids when they get home from school and let them down too. Maybe they will still find something special to do for Earth Day. For now I need to go find something to cheer me up. I'm sure I'll get over it soon, but I needed to vent. I know a lot of you are in this boat with me. I'll have my pin on me all week (April21-26). I hope to see some of you in Disney!

Sigh. Time to throw a fit. I left a comment on the blog about that becoming a universal day.

I'm so glad I booked a week for Universal! My dh and I are debating what we want to do for 2017 vacation (sans kids) We have UNI APs for our trip. Right now Disney may not get any of our money next year! It all will depend on how fast they can get their act together!

Two more drinks for the Lounge

Sexy Alligator
1 oz Midori® melon liqueur
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1/2 oz Jagermeister® herbal liqueur

and Maggie's Tonic
Lavender Orchid Cosmopolitan
Consider opting for white cranberry juice to help retain the pretty purple color.
1 1/2 ounces Absolut Citron (or Mandarin works too)
1/2 ounce Bols Parfait Amour
Dash of Lime Juice
Splash of Cranberry Juice

Chill cocktail glass with ice water. Combine vodka, Parfait Amour, lime and cranberry juices in an ice filled shaker. Shake. Discard ice water, shake out excess, rim the cocktail glass with violet colored sugar. Strain into the chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a floating edible orchid.

Mine either! What a disappointment for our trip at the end of the month. I know we will back in September and can see it then but we were SO excited! In any event, I will still be wearing my button during my whole trip and definitely 4/28 at AK. What a serious bummer!

I'm ticked. I had a feeling it could get delayed, but to say that they won't even post an update about it until a month after when it was supposed to debut?! My trip isn't until the first week of June and I'm not feeling very confident that I'll get to see this. They should have never announced a definitive date.

Oh man - what a disappointment. My family will still be in the AK as planned on 4/22, but I have to admit I feel a bit choked up about it. At least we have some closure now. Glad to be able to set our evening plans in place. Won't be as exciting as ROL would have been!

So disappointed ....AK day is May 23....fingers crossed maybe/possibly they're overshooting and will get things fixed before hand (yeah right lol). Guess will have to wait and see.
