Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

We lost part of our roof last night in this wind! Had to unload half of the stuff that was in our attic in the midst of it because it was raining at the time and soaking everything. Now if only the wind would STOP so we can get the roof water-tight. It's going to start raining tomorrow morning.

The good part of the roof coming off...Waiting for ROL seemed insignificant compared to losing our roof and being awake almost all night. I didn't care about ROL at that point.

Crossing my fingers that you get it all repaired before the rain hits. Must have been a doozy of a storm!

I don't think that my plans could be any more "fluid" with 12 days out!

Edit - I'm hoping that the CM at the resort has the wings and pixie dust like the one in the commercial...

We've kept the roof and the power so far, but it sure is a lot of snow and wind for April in New York. 21 days for us, and my AK plan will revert to the original if nothing happens in time. Early exit from AK for lots of shopping and face stuffing in Disney springs. I am almost hoping for that at this point. Almost.

We got between 6-8 inches last night, with a possible 6-8 more by Tuesday morning. It's the most we had at one time all winter. Except now it's spring . We don't go until June and I have to say I am so disgruntled. I cannot imagine how everyone leaving in 2-3 weeks feel. My FP window opened last night and of course there are no A&E passes anywhere right now and no ROL grrrr

OK, I broke down an bought a button (Thanks, HopperFan!) so anyone in AK for morning EMH on 4/25, or afternoon of 4/27 who sees us, don't be shy!

I hesitated because the rest of the ladies in my party have no idea what we have been through, or the significance of the Lounge...they are just happy to be going to WDW and each time I bring up the stress associated with trying to get these new night time attraction reservations, just say keep saying, "oh, it's ok, whatever we do will be great!" Love them to pieces, but glad I have this as an outlet for talking through the frustration!

Here's a photo of my hubby and I from last Oct where we were celebrating 41 GLORIOUS years of marriage at WDW. (The splotch of dark on the side of my shorts is from my new Maleficent shirt bleeding all over me after the Rapids ride....you really do get soaked!!!

Sorry about the roof. Glad everyone is ok though. It definitely puts ROL in perspective.

I wonder if anyone has gotten an A&E FP for June? The rumor is that they will move that meet and greet to EPCOT and there are still rumors of it opening May 27th. Other posters think there is too much construction going on to open by then. Just curious if anyone has gotten June FP yet for the old MK M&G for A&E?
