Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I will just add that if you cancel tickets you will lose your FPs (happened to me last year when I changed my traveling party. The minute we delinked the tickets from one person, to transfer to another, they were gone.) So do not let a CM cancel anything!! HOWEVER, you do NOT need to cancel your existing tickets to add a day to them! I've done it on several occasions. I second the suggestion to just try and do it yourself online. Better than waiting until you arrive.
That almost happened to me last year too, when I had my TA cancel my tickets for a future trip because I was going to upgrade to my AP on the trip before that one. I got all sorts of warnings from Disney that my FP would be canceled by XXX (a few days later) if they were not associated with a ticket immediately. You can be sure I was on the phone with my TA putting my park tickets back on for that future trip! After I got home from the trip where I upgraded to an AP, we canceled the future trip tickets with no problem.

EDITED: I got the warnings a couple days AFTER we canceled the tickets for that future trip. The warning came in the form on an email, and there was also a huge banner on my MDE page stating the same thing.

I just have to chime in to thank all of you for doing the work on this. I come her first in the morning for news, I stopped looking anywhere else weeks ago because I know I can count on it being reported here first when something does finally happen!

Me too. I don't think I have posted since way back in the beginning, but I check every day as soon as I get to work. Then a few times during the day too. :) It has been entertaining! LOL

Yes...they were set to do it March 11 or 12th and they received a memo that told them booking was postponed. I was one of the ones who called in several times over those 2 days.

Was March 11th or 12th ever announced officially, or was it just rumored?

Well, I just got off the phone with Shirley. She was very pleasant but of course, had no new information. She did say "we are not scheduling ROL right now . We have been told to share with guests that they can check the Disney Parks Blog for any updates. There will be an announcement there." She also told me to call back every day. She ended the call with "okay, thanks dear, have a magical day!"
I talked with Shirley a while back and agree she was very nice. I really liked that she said to call back everyday besides checking the blog. Me thinks there may be something we don't know. :rotfl2:

I don't know that it was announced because Disney rarely announces that booking starts on anything, but the CMs I talked with all read memos from their computers, which I consider official. The first one read a memo on the Friday that Saturday was the booking day. Then on Saturday the CMs I talked with read from a memo on the computer that bookings were postponed. So, even though Disney didn't announce it (per usual) it was indeed supposed to happen.

Have you tried to restart your puter?

It works for me
You may have a cookie issue. I'd clear your Disney site cookies and see if that helps

I did try restarting it last night and this morning but it didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I just cleared my cookies per AngiTN's suggestion and now it is working again. Thank you.

Glad it worked for you.
I have lots of cookie issues with the Disney site (never with any other site, just Disney). Every few weeks it no longer pulls up AP info for me. When I click on the link to AP rates on resorts it takes me to buy and AP page. I finally learned it was a cookie problem and if I clear them all is fixed and it works right and shows me AP rates for the resorts.

Something else odd happened this week and again, clearing my cookies fixed it. So that's always my first stop when the site is wonky

The only new item I see this morning is non-ROL-related, on the Events & Tours page: Sounds Like Summer. It isn't clickable yet.

In other news, my purple MBs shipped!
Purple magic bands are the best! I can't wait to wear mine.:flower:

Isn't that a concert series? I honestly don't know for certain but it sticking in my head "Sounds Like Summer Concert Series"...
That's it.
Sort of related, the most helpful WDW entertainment site I've found is http://wdwent.com/ I click on Epcot to keep up with dates and bookings.
