Why couldn't there be a blog post about it or something!

HA HA HA...they might be afraid to blog more 'non-info' since every time even the slightest HINT about AK comes up, we pummel them with comments/demands for more concrete info, which apparently they just a) don't have, or b) can't release yet because it may have to change, or c) they have screwed this up so badly, they have no idea what will happen now.

Take your pick. HA HA HA

When you do a search for Awaken Summer on DME, it shows up as something at all the parks but not specifics, but it doesn't sound like the event on the 19th will be open to the public. hmmmm....

Its also the title of one of the summer specials for rooms. Sounds like its the theme this year.

it looked to be for the general public...if you want to do an event how about looking into Club Villain?

I'm very interested in Club Villain and think it sounds awesome, but my DH is not at all interested. We both really wanted to see ROL - this was the only week we could travel, so we were hoping for a preview. We extended our trip a night to include 4/22, but it's unlikely we'd catch it that night without a FP or dining package, which at this point doesn't seem likely. It's not the end of the world and we'll adjust, and as I said upthread, we still plan on going into AK on 4/22 just to enjoy the night and the anniversary celebration. It is a bummer, though! i'll talk to him to see if he wants to adjust and try and go for the 15th - who knows?

I'm very interested in Club Villain and think it sounds awesome, but my DH is not at all interested. Now I am vaguely depressed so I must go and clean my house and process this new information so as to regroup and re-plan!

I have also just learned that my son's hockey team is having a potluck supper tonight - surprise! - and I'm expected to cook something for it! Awesome as I am hosting Easter and had lots of other plans for the day that did not involve a hockey potluck!

Yes, I had only seen it in reference to the rooms packages...

I had been thinking it would be HS and more Star wars stuff. Yeah Ive been stalking the deals, this one ends right before we get there ugh! Hopefully there will be a passholders end of summer early fall deal. Awaken the Summer sounds much better than the dog days of August (except for goofy)
At least it isnt Frozen Summer.

I HATE to be the bearer of bad news but for some reason I still have access to the HUB, today is the day the parks post their in park events and now it shows the preview events all cancelled.
It's showing the 15th Premium Preview and both the 16th and 17th preview events cancelled...they were cancelled 3/22
There's an event showing for April 19th called "Awaken Summer" no details on it, it's all TBD other than to say it's a promotion event, for 600 people and will start at 7:15pm until 9pm. It could be DPB meet up or just bloggers and media event

And yet no one has told the CMs who had tickets to the event. Why does that not surprise me?! I just text DH and forwarded on this news, and he replied that no one had told him yet, but he wasn't surprised. He also commented that the way I was going I might still be pregnant by then. He thinks he's funny.

I'm starting to think at this point RoL will open with no dining packages and no FP+, just stand by.

LOL! Oh I feel for you. My fiance at least gave me a 2 day notice that he had volunteered me to make a dip and pepperoni bread for his work potluck I said I will make a dip, the pepperoni bread is a no go!

I'm enjoying a nice quiet weekend. My dh is working today, one of my boys is gone until Monday. That's my reward for hosting thanksgiving, Christmas and both New Year's Eve and day parties.

Oh, I've definitely considered that, especially as I need to hit a grocery store anyway. But the kids are home from school so it would give them something to do anyway!
