Rumors HHN 2008?

Hi folks are there any rumors on proposed dates for HHN? Just wondering if US is likely to do a Disney & bring the date right into early September?We already have the last weekend in Sept ear marked but looking at BG their HoS is going to be on the same nights & could mean having to do them back to back

As Nerdboy stated, HHN doesn't start until the end of September.

but you do *never* know. maybe the fact that the park hours for Sept. have yet to be released could mean they're planing a lil sumin sumin??? Just speculation on my part. And a lil wishful thinking!

That's true...you never know but I seriously doubt Universal would ever extend HHN to early September...that's too early for Halloween plus another month for the extra casting of the scareactors and moving all the props four nights a week wouldn't make sense. I was surprised HHN was extended past Halloween night last year which I don't remember them doing in past years. Universal rarely releases their hours a year in advance so the fact the hours aren't posted yet is nothing new.

If i ran the U world i'd announce the dates ASAP to be competivite

You do have a def. point though as to the sheer elaborate prep work they do though & auditions...from a quick search didn't appear as though they started auditions until early July in '07

HHN goes after a different crowd obviously and everyone pretty much knows when it's going to happen. The dates will be released by mid-June so it's about a month or so lag from Disney.

Thanks folks ,you can but hope! Disney have brought MNSSHP forward to 9/5!! I've been planning our trip around the most likely dates but BG has really thrown a spanner in the works! I checked last years dates & they had started the first party on a Thurs night so had wrongly assumed (yes I know makes an *** out of U & me ! ) that that might be the case this year BUT looking at their park hours for Sept both 9/26 & 9/27 Park closing is 5PM.On our last trip we done both parties back to back but were done in by the end of HHN!

imo, they could increase their fan base/attendance easily with the non-die-hard WDW attendees...the ones that get coherced into going to Disney in the 1st place, since they think it's a kid's park/lame. HHN could be a powerful carrot to dangle to get some peeps to participate. It's not going to happen if they don't have their dates out when Disney does (May 1st sale date this year); since the vacation dollars will already be allocated.

Especially, if they'd have an reasonably priced day care (other than the hotel's offerings). Problem with Disney's resort daycare is that their hours aren't really condusive to visiting HHN for ma & pa. U has the potential for greater revenue & showing off the park to newbies, who very well might decide to forego Disney next trip & check out U. .

Many of us who just come down once or twice a year, by necessity; must plan our trips to work around Disney because they have their dates out earlier. I specifically bought U APs in lieu of WDW ones to work HHN in this year. Everybody's got a budget, darn it I've found that it's very economical to do the party events @ WDW & throw in a HHN or 2; best of both worlds.

Shooby doo - i'm with you! I'll hope they both bump the schedule a tad & release the dates in May ; don't expect it though.

I loved the fact they kept it open through the weekend last year.We planned our trip around that.Halloween falls on a Friday this year.So they'll keep it open till the 2nd of Nov. this year I'm thinking.(if you gothe day after halloween the crowds get smaller). Thats how we plan our HHN vac.

heck, this is only the third vacation I've planned since i graduated HS and got a "real" job, and my first to FL without my parents, and I'm overplanning. Some of us are just hard-wired without Big Mouse......I mean Brother watching over us.

I'm not sure...they had so many possibilites I can't remember them all. We'll have to wait and see.

Those dates aren't officially announced but I doubt they will change much...if at all.

I thought the BEST part of PsychoScarapy was walking through the poop-smeared bathrooms, and actually smelling the poop And the urine soaked mattress room was equally as appalling
