Rumored Jungle Cruise restaurant is confirmed.

I am curious as to what the cuisine would be here. I imagine they could offer up a similar menu as Bengal BBQ at Disneyland for the quick service portion.

I really hope they do something fun with the dining. I think with BOG continuing to be such a hit that they will take a cue and offer more unique choices at this one was well. My husband loves the Jungle Cruise, so I'm sure we'll make it here whenever they open.

There is always the cuisine described on the Jungle Cruise Mess menu. It describes delightful selections such as fricasse of giant stag beetle, barbecued three-toed skink, consomme of river basin slug and, of course, fillet of rock python. I'm told they all taste like chicken!

I have confirmed the story with persons inside the project. I have seen documentation and even 2 props for the interior in person. I would share more about my sources if I could, but the project is approved and moving forward and we were able to confirm that without any official word released by Disney to the public. I see your point and maybe confirmed is confusing term for a headline, but I did confirm this with inside sources. I wouldn’t injure our reputation by putting “confirmed” on a story if we weren’t certain.

Sounds cool, if the wait staff doesn't have to keep up an act. I think the theme in the surroundings and on the menu would be plenty. Maybe instead of carrying an enchanted rose to the table at lunch, there will be some other sort of object. Although I guess with Magic Bands that won't really be necessary. A glowing tiki torch would be fun.

I really hope they do a soft opening earlier than November 20! We will be there the first week. What a bummer to be so close but so far! The same thing happened to us on our first trip with the new fantasyland, opened days after we left. Oh well!

I wouldn't want characters there at all but then I don't do character dining. maybe instead of the waiters having to do an act they can hire some actors to walk around or do mini shows. Im betting, however, that there will be no characters or actors and they just do it with props. Possibly talking props but I'm guessing they will be animatronic and not controlled by persons.

I'm not a fan of of themed waitstaff concept. I place value on food and don't want to be annoyed during my meal. I know some people like that but it's not for me. 50's prime time and whispering canyon were not my cup of tea.

I'm really hoping they have a "Soft opening" in late October. Yak and Yeti did when they opened, and I got in without an ADR for dinner-they weren't even taking reservations yet. Fingers crossed!

That's interesting. Thanks for explaining. I assume the kitchen is underground? I am tying to picture how those two could share a kitchen. Where is it located? Under the bathroom/ tunnel connecting Liberty area to treehouse area? Not that it matters, but it is interesting how all those things are connected under there.

I believe the kitchen is above ground. As you can see below, it's all one giant building. (The new restaurant will go where is says "Tinkerbelles Magical Nook")

Well there was a restaurant there previously. Sponsored by Kikkoman no less. So the facilites are there already. Just probably needs a good update to the kitchen. And a complete overhall for the dining area.

Yep, which makes you wonder "If there was a restaurant there before, why do they need a long refurbishment at LTT to accommodate the new restaurant?"
