Drew Smith, who consistently posts reliable character information on "another" board, has just posted this:
Please remember these could change.

-As of right now the Fairies Room in Toon Town is set to open October 26th for meet n greets with Tink, Silvermist, Fawn, Iridessa and Rosetta.
-Bolt should be in the parks around that time as well for meet n greets.
-As of right now there are no character/entertainment changes expected this year at MNSSHP.

I have a pretty high confidence in Drew, but these should still be considered rumors at this time. :)

I'm sure I seem Disney character-impaired, but who is Bolt??

New Disney (not Pixar) computer-animated movie coming out this Fall (around Thanksgiving, I think). A dog, voiced by John Travolta. The trailer made me laugh--at least the dog's hamster friend.

BTW, Orlando Weekly has had full-page ads the past week or two announcing auditions for the fairies, so an October start sounds very plausible.

Yes! We are going in DEC and my dd loves the fairies!:cool1:

They can get that silly "Bolt" dog but no Wall-E. Well, I guess life can't be perfect.

Orlando Sentinel...

Tinker Bell may get a new home

Walt Disney World is planning to add actresses playing Tinker Bell and her friends from an upcoming series of "Disney Fairies" movies -- and might be creating a new attraction based on them.

Disney held auditions last week for actresses to play the Disney Fairies characters in the parks, including Tinker Bell, Silvermist, Rosetta, Iridessa and Fawn.

In a prepared statement, a Disney spokeswoman explained: "Disney Imagineers are currently creating a special new home for Tink and her friends which promises to immerse guests in the world of Pixie Dust at Walt Disney World."

Spokeswoman Andrea Finger would not elaborate about whether this meant the fairy characters will have their own attraction, nor did she specify which park they might appear in.

Except for Tinker Bell, the characters are based on a new "Disney Fairies" entertainment franchise that the Walt Disney Co. has been developing in recent years through children's books, Internet Web pages, games, toys and a series of straight-to-DVD movies that will begin emerging this fall.

UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe our bad luck!!!! We will miss the fairies by 10 days , if the report is true. We missed Giselle by mere days as well. Tink and Giselle or my DD5's and my favorites. FRAK! I hope it's just a rumor. But I wonder if they will keep the fairies around longer than Giselle was. I mean Tink is THE character, is she not??? The lines for her will be RIDONCULOUS!

Darn! We are going the end of September, my DD would have LOVED to meet Tink and the other fairies! She's read all the books and her room is decorated with Tinkerbell stuff. Her previous room in our old house was pink with several Disney Princess accents, the only Princess thing that made it into her new lavender Tink room at the new house is a little wall mirror, apparently now, at 8, she's 'so over' (to quote her) the princesses!

Oh well, I remember previous trips the longest lines we waited in some days were the character tent in Toontown to meet the princesses, and this would be several times per trip, so at least we saved ourselves some time!

Any idea how long this will last????

With four Fairies DVDs being released over the next four years, and a line of Fairies merchandise coming that Disney hopes will rival the Princesses line in popularity, I have a feeling that the meet and greet will be around for quite some time. :)

Blue Sky Has posted that Fantasyland is going to get some new attractions. A little mermaid ride, a Snow White roller coaster and an area for the Tink meet and greet called Pixie Hallow....

From this website:

Imagine that Little Mermaid attraction we talked about before... it's basically going to be the ride we have here, although it might be a bit smaller and the exterior should be envisioned differently, but all around Fantasyland you'll notice a great deal of detail and a great deal of difference in a bout four or five years if it all comes to pass.

How would you like to get through with your adventures with Ariel and Sebastian and walk out looking around the Florida sunshine basking in that new roller coaster that's been put in for Disney Fans/Geeks to ride. A roller coaster? What are you talking about? The one themed to the Seven Dwarfs, that one. Lavishly made up with details that are closer to something you'd see in Tokyo that stateside, but it's there...

Now what about the other areas of the land that are proposed to have a radical makeover? I mean, there is that Pixie Hallow that looks like you've wandered into the forest in Neverland, there's a meet and greet for Tinkerbell, but the details of this little area are going to make little princess run screaming through this area and really bring a smile on the face of every Disney fan.
------------------------------------

I am hoping Fantasyland does get these attractions.:wizard:
