Rumor- New Second Island and 2 new Ships!

The Dis posted on their Facebook page today that rumor says we may be hearing about a new / second Caribbean Island and 2 new DCL ships tomorrow at the D23.

I Hope this is True!!!!!

Well the USA embassy opened in Cuba today.

The two new ships have been reported for some time now and with the wait-list at the preferred yards they have to do something quite soon, with the fall of the Euro its a good time to fix a deal.

The reports have been two mid sized ships bigger than the classics and smaller than the newer ones.

Money has been earmarked for the expansion works at the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom but buying new ships is important as other new ships are coming out on other lines and Virgin starting cruising.

The actual wording from the DIS is actually a Second Caribbean Island. That would be ideal! I could definitely imagine a cruise sailing only to Disney Private Islands.

Well Castaway is in the Bahamas not the Caribbean. So if they did one in the Caribbean it would be the first one there.

Any possible private island would be of interest to all the cruise lines and have massive competition.

I would prefer than over the stop at Nassau (which has terrible reviews about security).

The Caribbean islands are those islands that border or are surrounded by the Caribbean Sea organized by the political entity to which each island belongs.

Even the Eastern Caribbean cruise doesn't hit the Caribbean until it gets to its island stops it runs down the Atlantic ocean.

Well regardless of location, I just think 2 Disney islands would be fabulous! I don't like rumors and I made sure to state it is a rumor, but one can dream! Guess we will find out tomorrow

I like the idea. but I may have egg on my face here.....it ant going to happen.

New port Yes. In Caribbean Yes.

Studying...(And listening to the teacher)... That's what I forgot to do while I was at school... (I wish I was kidding...)

I learned --just last year-- that Africa was not a country (I wish I was kidding for that one too.)

My wife and I talked about Cuba opening up last night. If DCL or ABD offers options to go we will be waiting on opening day to sign up.

I wonder what itinerary the two new ships would do? Whether they are based in Europe or in west coast or???

Of course I am hoping for Hawaii or west coast.
