Rumor: Minnie Vans returning?

I have seen the same rumour in the last couple days, but don't know if it is circular reporting back to the same single source, or coming from multiple sources.

In some of the reporting, people are reporting NEW "minnie van" signs have been put up at various places on property, which would be a strong indicator the service is in fact coming back -- why put up NEW signs if you aren't intending to bring back the service ?? Some of the reporting has pictures of these signs.

*If* they are going to use the same equipment as pre-pandemic, then I would imagine the accessible vehicles will return as soon as they have sufficient staffing? If I recall correctly, that was how they rolled out the Minnie Van system originally? (Forgive me, it's been a few days... LOL)

They fill a needed niche I think. Most of the time I can get where I'm going on Disney busses but it was super super nice to have the Minnie Vans when I needed them (hotel to hotel especially).

Agreed. We usually use the buses on site, but have used lyft/uber and minnie vans on occasion. Lyft and uber have each gotten lost and so we much prefer the Minnie Vans, though did not appreciate their new pricing model the last time we were there.

If they do come back and they have the airport service again, we are thinking of using them for the trip from MCO>resort.

Lyft and über have each gotten lost?....How is the even possible with the programs they use. I can see missing a turn-off & having to redirect. But lost?

Perhaps "lost" isn't the right word. Their apps directed them to the wrong location. One time was taking us to AKL they ended up directed to the middle of nowhere near AK park; turned around at AK parking and it directed the driver to the same place. I had to pull up Google maps on my phone and give step by step directions on how to get to the right place. The driver had no idea where they were as they weren't familiar with the area [=lost]; I knew more than they did, though I only had a vague mental map [hence Google Maps Was My Friend].

I should have been paying more attention, but I made the incorrect assumption that between their app and the road signage they would easily get us to the correct location. Lesson learned.

We *loved* the Minnie Vans, and are genuinely looking forward to their return!

Even if they charge more (and I expect that they will) there have been times when it has absolutely been worth the cost. Since my personal mobility device has typically been so lightweight and can be folded to a very small footprint, we did not have to call the accessible MVs; we most often used them to bypass long bus lines at the end of a long Parks day.

We never had a bad driver, and we enjoyed every single ride we took in a Minnie Van. I'm excited to hear about the possible return of what our family considers to be a fantastic service.
