RUMOR HAS IT... (My Dec 2007 Disney Vacation)

Well there you are, now you know what the brat did. ;) Gotta still love her though.

Ty,

I'm dying, I can't believe she did that. I can see how those rumors can spread though, like crazy (even all the way back to your resort). Do feel bad for those little girls who would be dying to see Hannah Montana. Reese is a trip, she will always keep you laughing, I'm sure.

Hi Ty!!

Just finished reading your updates, loving this report just like I did the last.

Reading your report has gotten me excited about our trip again! For some reason, I had lost all enthusiasm the past month or so...

We leave in 11 days! :cool1:

That is so funny about Reese because almost the same thing happened with us but it was the :lovestruc Jonas Brothers. Someone told my daughter that they were in the park for the day! My DD was like OH MOM   we need to find:love:  them. I was like Sam come on it is Christmas day do you really think that they are here? She was Like I guess not! Then the next day while at BBB the Photopass guy was getting her goat and said that Corbin Bleu was there. She just rolled her eyes. But I did learn that he does have a house in Orlando so it could be possible that he was around!
Oh don't forget to come over and read about my trip when you have time!!!!!

Ty I have been laughing hysterically as I'm getting caught up on your TR!

Love it, fabulous writing and your pics are awesome. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read about Epcot day, I have a feeling the girls will be making lots of foreign CM friends. ;)

Hi, I haven't seen you in a while, welcome back.

Those girls made friends everywhere, it was amazing how many myspace addresses they came home with.

Today is me and kents 10th wedding anniversary. 10 years of wedded bliss, we have actually been together for 13 years. :lovestruc :cloud9:

He siad he is making my present and it's not ready yet, maybe by the weekend though, I can't wait to see what it is.

pjstevens I had a little guilt knowing that little girls were probably getting bummed out left and right, I should have put a stop to it right away but honestly at the time I didn't think it would spread so much so fast.

Reese never fails to crack me up somehow each day. She keeps me young. Today she referred to me as "One who supplied the egg." a lot of walmart shoppers heard her say it and laughed.

ericamcl 11 days? I am so jealous, I would love to go back right now. I hope you have the best time!!!

DISNEY4XMAS I promise you we did not start the Jonas Brothers rumor. LOL Reese is a huge Hannah Montana fan, it's funny cause she's 14 and the show seems like it's so young, but she is even having a Karaoke Party and people have to come dressed as characters from Hannah Montana. I wonder how Reese would have reacted if the shoe were on the other foot and she was fooled into thinking HM was there?

I have been reading your report. I am all done with it, and I hope you continue with it soon. It seems like you and your daughter have a great relationship!! It sounds like you had a great wdw trip!!

wendy darling Hi, Welcome to my trip report, I am happy to have you here. Reese and I do have a pretty good relationship, I consisder myself lucky to have her as a daughter.

I will be updating real soon.

LurrrvtheDuck Thank you so much, I love it!

PrincessNikki thanks for reading, I have been over to your trip report as well and I am enjoying it very much.

This trip sounds so great to me! I'm expecially envious of the Dream Fastpasses

-Dainan "And RNR is my least favorite coaster at WDW" Rafferty

After dinner and then resting a bit we had planned to go use our fastpasses on ToT and RnR. We had said that specatcle of lights would be saved for our last day at MGM, which would also be our last night at Disney, what a nice way to end things right? But we somehow ended up at spectacle of lights and once we saw it we could not walk away from it.

Something just makes you walk toward it. Those lights are amazing. I can't imagine my neighbor having all of them.
Reese was in awe of it, I video taped her watching the lights more than I video taped the lights. Every year it's a tradition of ours to drive around at Christmas and look at everybodies light displays, when the kids were younger we made a huge deal of it, we would bring hot chocolate and cookies and sing carols. but Reese would get so upset if there were more lights on Jim's side of the car then hers and she would scream, "All I got is a piece of a junk"! So when Reese was looking at the lights and told me this was a far cry from a piece of a junk I had to laugh and cry.
What a nice tradition!!
Anyway, back to the lights, I loved the dancing lights and the snow, it didn't feel like christmas though, I guess cause I was in shorts and a T. but golly those lights were beautiful and so worth seeing. we slowly walked all around taking in everything, we didn't do alot of talking, we were too busy looking. I got rammed in the ankles by the same stroller 3 times within 5 minutes. I thought I had shut my camera off at this point, but at home we were watching it christmas day, and you can tell I didn't know the camera was on cause it was down by my side, but you can hear me saying "Hit me one more time with that stroller dude, I dare you." We all got a laugh out of that, then my dad said "Geese Ty, you're just like your mother." That was hurtful!!!!

I certainly hope you said this loud enough for him to hear. I swear some people just don't give a crap!!
This is Coach T and I. She loved the lights too, she kept saying "Oh, my gawd." I was so happy that she was enjoying herself, I think I worried way too much about this when planning for the trip."

She looks so happy!! You did good Ty!

Here's Reese and Coley. Reese was feeling much better by now.

Disney is the cure for whatever is ailing you!!!
ToT there was no line, we used our fastpasses anyway, the CM in the library was really creepy, he kept staring at Reese, she would say something to him, but he wouldn't answer back, when she would turn around he would pull her air or brush her arm, she would turn to him and he would just stare, she turned around and we all watched the T.V. with Rod, but Reese kept turning to look at him, he never flinched. then as we were exiting she gave him one last look as she turned back he blew on her arm and then took 2 steps to the side, she turne dback and he was gone, Reese yelled "WOW" and she looked like she had just saw a ghost, it was hilarious. We were laughing about that in line, I asked Reese to say into the Camera what had just happened, so she starts explaining it and says, "The guy didn't talk, I think he was foreign and didn't speak English." Coach and I lost it at this point. He spoke English, his name tag said he was from New Jersey. It's so much fun to laugh at reese and it didn't end with that. We got in our elevator seats and the CM was acting spooky, doing a real great job of it, he was getting ready to leave and then almost as an after thought he stopped and said to Reese in a normal none spooky way, "Could you do me a favor and give your restraint another tug." so she did, and he said "Good just wanted to make sure they fixed that." Then he closed the door on us. Reese wigged out, she thought he was serious, we had a hard time convincing her that he was joking just to scare her.

This is toooooo funny!! I love it when CM's really play their part!!!
We decided to head back to the resort and hit up the shops as we left, I wasn't in a shopping mood. So I went from bench to bench. I did go in the candy store and bought some mints. I like the cute little tins they come in. I bought about a dozen to give to nieces and nephews back home.

NOT IN A SHOPPING MOOD??????????
The park wasn't closing for another 30 minutes so the line for the bus wasn't too long, we had to wait for a second bus but it was quick. We didn't get to sit next to eachother, poor coach got stuck sitting next to a young college boy with the nastiest of gas, and every time he would crack one he and his friends would bust out laughing, it didn't help that the guys laugh was as annoying as heck. Every person on that bus had their shirts pulled up over their noses, it was a long ride back to Pop.

This is really discusting!!! And the reason I am renting a car. If I want to pass gas, no one but my daughter will have to endure it!!
Coach and I went to the room, I showered and got my jammies, called Kent and Jim and then just relaxed in bed. after a bit I got restless and went to the Pop Shop to get hot chocolate. Reese and Coley were in there eating a Sundae, I got a little put off thinking they used up another snack credit, but Reese said they know the guy at the Sundae bar and the ice cream was free, they said they were getting free ice cream and rice crispie treats every night. they never offered to share with me....BRATS!

Oh, to be young and cute again!! I don't remember ever getting free stuff though!!

Next day would be Epcot.
I can't wait to hear all about Epcot!!! Great update Ty.

SpaceMountain this was an awesome fun trip, we are still talking about it here as if it just happened.

Dream fastpasses was a great thing to win, even if we didn't really need them.

ILMICKEY YOu are so lucky to be going to Disney again so soon, bu then we all kind of win in that situation, it just means another trip report from you. I swear lady you crack me up major!!!!

My trip has ben moved again, now it's going to be January 2009, so much closer than October 2009, but I won't put it in stone yet, it keeps changing. I won't know until the middle of this week if it's set.

I want to get the epcot update posted soon, I need to find a minute to myself first.

The alarm went off at 7:30 am, I wanted to hit snooze, I was feeling the trip now in my bones. But I got up and got ready. I didn't wear any fancy lotion this day, just Jergens moistureriser, plane vanilla lip gloss and Lakeside perfume, which is my favorite Avon perfume, I don't think they make it any more, I say this because my mother always got this for me every year at Easter and one Easter it just didn't happen, my mother isn't one to just stop on tradition, so that's why I think it's discontinued, any way I still have 2 full bottles left:offtopic:

Today was different from all the other days, it had it's similarities, Reese did the ward robe dance, Coley wouldn't get out of bed till Coach screamed at her for the 5th time. It was different in a sense that we were all dog tired. I felt it everywhere, the kind of tired that hurts your eyes and blinking carries the threat of accidentally falling asleep. I really thought it would pass once we got moving, but even at the bus stop I felt sick in my stomache and knew only a nap would help. Going back to the room and sleeping at this point was out of the question, I needed to make sure that I was on Soarin this day.

So on the bus we all just sat like zombies, it was obvious the ones who were just starting their vacations and the ones who were mid to over their vacation.

We got to Epcot a little after rope drop and made our way to soarin, the standby was already 20 minutes, maybe it just automatically starts out that way, but we had the girls get in line while coach and I went and got fast passes for later. It always seemed like at every park if the standby said 20 minutes it took really 10 to 15, we were expecting this to be the same, but this standby time was true to it's posting, we waited the full 20 minutes, I was starting to feel less tired, my stomache ache went away, excitement set in. I think aside from not seeing the mouse my first time, not riding Soarin had also plagued me, only because when people found out we hadn't gone on it their jaws dropped. Then seeing it on the travel channel only shoved it in my face and pierced me through the heart when I saw just how cool it was. I liked that I was a newbie this time though, I had such anticipation for this, I was expecting only the best, I couldn't wait to smell the pine and the citrus.

It was our turn to finally get to soar, I took my shoes off and stuck them in the basket below, I wanted the barefoot (sock foot) feel. I was a little worried about the foot view, but once we got in the air the foot view didn't bother me at all, I was focused on the ride. It was everything and more I had expected, I picked my feet up when I thought the wave was going to crash into them, I tried to dip my toes in the river, the pine smelled so real, not like car freshner pine, and the citrus made me crave an orange. Thank you Disney, this was perfect, it was worth it, I didn't want this ride to end, I knew I had a new favorite...to add to the rest of my favorites!

When we exited the ride, stanby time was at 90 minutes, I told Coley "This is why we couldn't hit snooze this morning." Our fastpass return time wasn't for another hour and a half, so we went over to the finding Nemo ride.

This was the first time we got out our cameras, I think we were just so tired this day that taking pictures had slipped my mind. I was looking forward to this ride. although i knew the walk to get there would take a while, I had read enough trip reports to know this. I liked that we had alot to look at as we marched the marathon to get to our shells, reese thought it was funny that the boat bottom was over head, she jumped up and tried to touch it saying "I'm going to touch the butt." ( Gotta love the movie) We made our way to our clam mobiles, the ride was just ok, I don't know if I would do this one again, maybe if the line was short and there was nothing else to do and I had to kill some time, or just needed a nap. The ride actually made me tired again. When we got off the ride we went over for some photo opps, we needed proof that we were actually at Epcot,

Coach and I waited in line of 4 year olds to get our picture in the sharks mouth. I told her to ham it up for the camera, we're being eaten by sharks here and she's smiling, nobody is going to believe this is real.

flatshark.jpg
[/IMG]

This picture is half decent, it's the only one I have where Reese isn't kissing the shark.

We looked at all the fish and took pictures of everything we could, I have more pictures of fish then I do of anything else at Epcot.

We left here and walked super slow back over to Soarin, we got there just as our fast pass return time was ready, we walked had a tiny wait of 10 minutes. Again I took off my shoes. This time we were at the top and I was on the very end, I didn't get scared until Coley told me to look down, then i freaked a little, I never realized just how high up we were, and all that was holding me in was a tiny seatbelt, I held on this time. Even though I felt nervous a bit it still didn't stop me from enjoying Soarin fully, it was just as awesome the second time.

I will be back with more in a few days.

I definately know that tired feeling at Disney. ::yes::

So glad you got to experience Soarin' it is a must do at Epcot. :cloud9:

:lmao: at Reese calling the boat a "butt". :rotfl2: I had completely forgotten that little part, guess it's time to watch Nemo again.

 Coach did what my friend did when we were supposed to act scared at the HM Photopass with the carriage. Everyone is acting scared and she's smiling. :sad2:

Can't wait to read about the rest of your day. popcorn::

Hi my name is Holly and I am new to the DISboards but I am quickly catching on to things around here! I wanted to let you know that I am sitting at home in the worst pain ever, I need to get some teeth pulled soon..wisdom teeth...yuck..But i have sat here this morning and read your entire trip report and i am loving it!! My family and I are in October but for now I keep myself occupied by reading everyone else's and so far yours has kept me entertained quite well, I can't wait for more. Your daughter is a character and I can't wait to hear more about her too!

LurrrvtheDuck That dead tired feeling is awful, especially when there is nothing you can do to fix it.

I honestly think that if Coach were being eaten by a real shark she would still smile.

VroomVroomLightning Hi Holly, welcome to the Disboards, if you love Disney this is the place to be, and everyone here is so nice, you will make tons of friends. I am happy that you like my trip report, so sorry that you are in pain, tooth pain is the worst!!! I hope you get that fixed soon and heal quickly.

Your off to the world in October! That is great! Will it be your first time going? Where will you be staying?

Reese is a character, she keeps us in stitches.

Thanks for reading and please come back again.

I went to WDW for 8 days and i tell ya, it wasn't enough time. It's nice that you get to go back and enjoy it more fully.

I really like Pop. I just booked my room for my next trip. And of course I will be staying at Pop again. The rooms are small, but who really spends much time in the rooms anyway right?:confused3

In my honest opinion, Soarin' is over rated. I liked it, but it just didn't live up to the hype. But your morning sounds like every normal morning to me, so congradulations on pulling it off :P. Now I want to know if you said hello to my buddy Figment?
