Rumor Discussion - Disney World Attractions

The new country would be awesome!

But the BIG news would be the new roller coaster. When I saw that film, I immediately thought of them building a ride for that scene near the end. :thumbsup2

I wish they would develop something like SpiderMan and/or Forbidden Journey. I think that door scene would be perfect for it.

Monsters Inc. Roller Coaster has been in the works for a few years. It's not "new" news. It's been "on" and "off" for a couple years. Now I guess it's back "on".

I don't know if I like the idea of a Monsters Inc. rollercoaster.

I guess it's going to depend on a few things. How intense of a roller coaster will it be? Similar to RnR?

My 3 year old neice LOVES Monsters, Inc. But she's not tall enough to ride big rides like that...I"m just imagining how heartbroken some small children are going to be when they can't ride it.

True, there are other rides they can't ride either and get heartbroken over, but if you're taken a children's movie that small children love, I don't know if I like a ride being built from it that small children can't ride.

Just my .02

:cool1: Yay for the Monsters, Inc roller coaster. I also thought the doors would be a great ride when I saw the movie. I think it should be a hanging coaster.

I cant wait for the Monsters inc ride! I suppose now that they are making a second movie they figure it will have the staying power they need for an attraction!

I think this is first time I have heard a Monsters Inc. rollercoaster rumor without it being mentioned as part of a villains park. It would be cool and I would love a proper thrill ride at WDW (think Top Thrill Dragster) but I doubt it will be that. Disney will never build an attraction over 200ft. high because they don't want to have to put an aircraft warning beacon on the ride structure.

As for a country, I would welcome any new country on WS and while Spain wouldn't be my first choice I'll take anything and hope for a ride. Having only two rides, and one good one, on the WS isn't enough.

I imagine that the Monsters In attraction will go next to TSMM. I also have a feeling that it will be similar to the Crush Coaster at the Disney Studios Paris ride.

I would sooooooo love a Monsters Inc. coaster. Monsters Inc. is my favorite Pixar movie. I think they can make a great ride without making it a thrill ride. I love thrill rides, but it'd be nice to have another ride at DHS that most everyone can ride. Right now TSM is really the only family ride. I'm not saying it should be as tame as the Nemo ride at the Living Seas, but Top Thrill Dragster like would be a bit much! I think they can make a very cool ride and still keep the rider height at around 42 inches.

I think this would be the perfect balance. It has enough omph for the grown ups to get a giggle, but still caters for the smaller ones. I really like the Paris ride, and i think it would fit in great in Florida! :thumbsup2

i really hope they build the monsters inc roller coaster, but it has to be a thrill coaster. it has to be a hanging coaster with LOTS of sharp turns and corkscrews and zero G rolls.
