Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Just my opinion but there is no way Disney will try to enforce masks for their guests. For the CMs, possibly...but not for guests. Can you imagine trying to keep a toddler in a mask in 95 degree weather? No chance.

There is also zero chance they will require testing for all guests. They will not want the liability of "finding" positive cases nor the inevitable consequences that come along with it.

Because that absolutely is what that is.

In my opinion none of that needs to go. People just need to use common sense and partake in healthy habits.

Good luck with that. Most people at the parks are entitled. I'm guessing you didn't read the post of what is rumored in what Disney will look like when it reopens.

And it has been said from day 1 - Americans are going to have to get used to a new normal. Make no mistake, Disney can require and enforce masks if they want to.

Until the lawsuits roll in.

Not sure how often you visit wdw but enforcing is not one of wdw forte. In the beginning im sure most will comply but then one person will take it off and then the next and then the cm will try and enforce and get yelled at or worse.... entitled is a word that gets thrown out there a lot and from all my experience unfortunately some wdw guests are very entitled and don't think rules apply to them

Exactly --- Disney (unlike a lot of other businesses) want to have their customers to have an enjoyable experience. Kicking people out because they refuse to take a test or wear a mask isn't very customer friendly (especially in the hot summer/fall sun). Who knows . .maybe our culture will change, but not overnight.

Again .. lawsuits .. people will lawyer up over the craziest of things (that are usually their fault) . .

I feel if DIsney requires masks or tests .. that MAY make them liable for their guests health. If they require a test, and that person is actually positive and spreads it to another family .. who gets COVID-19 and a member of that family dies .. I could easily see them suing the pants off Disney for "negligent testing" and a "unsafe environment".

I mean if you can sue a store for slipping on natural ICE in their parking lot, I am sure you can make a case of suing them for getting infected by a virus they were supposedly testing for.

We are going end of August and have discussed wearing masks on the buses and like.

Honestly...nothing. A place like Disney isn't conducive to social distancing. It just isn't. I think they will take measures to keep things cleaner than they did before (santizer stations, cleaning more often, etc) but there isn't a whole lot they can realistically do beyond that which won't significantly reduce the guest experience.

Personal responsibility will work.
You take care of you and yours. Don't expect Disney to do everything, they will have measures in place but i can guarantee you more than one family will try and break the rules
Wash your hands, don't touch your face, wear a mask if possible, make sure to leave a buffer between you and others.
6ft is not that far away, get up right now and see how fae 6ft is. You can easily walk around the parks while social distancing. Queues will be trickier but that is where Disney comes into play, we won't hear "fill all the available space" for a while.

I disagree. The will be a reduced guest experience. Have you not read the rumored plans that they think of implementing. Look at what Shanghai Disney is doing. I wouldn't be surprised if what they are doing comes to the parks here.

I am sure they will figure out what is best, but I can't imagine wearing a mask in August with 90% humidity. It would be like breathing in soup through the mask. People will be dropping like flies, but not from Covid 19.

That is what makes this so complicated is how we are impacted to such a degree by how others act. We can do things to minimize things for ourselves but when in a public place, only so much you can do

I highly highly doubt disney will use any test that consist of blood being drawn even it is a little prick on the finger.

What a nightmare that would be in so many ways.

agree 100% - guess the one issue would be if people come with the impression Disney (or Universal) was holding their guests to certain requirements (that they prove they are healthy, that they wear masks, etc) but then don't enforce it.

If Disney says these are recomendations but we can't mandate things and you have to sign a form saying we are not liable / visit at your own risk, then yeah, people have to just take that risk (or not)

Took the words out of my mouth. When Disney opens they arent FORCING you to go. It will be your choice if you go or not. If you dont feel safe then by all means dont go.

Yeah they aren't going to want to do anything where they have to store health data because then it becomes a HIPAA issue.

They won't be liable in any way - and they'll make you sign a form before entering stating you understand that.

Also we would already be seeing mass hiring of nurses from Disney or rumors of mass hiring through advent health for Disney
