From the BlogMickey link I posted earlier:

Based on the additional measures and procedures, we ask for guest understanding of and compliance with the following requirements when Shanghai Disneyland reopens:*

  1. Purchase dated admission tickets for Shanghai Disneyland prior to their arrival, as on-site sales will not be available. Annual Pass holders must make a reservation for their visit date and time through Shanghai Disney Resort’s official online channels before their visit to the park. During this “Advanced Reservation Period,” General Admission tickets for Shanghai Disneyland will not be accepted;**
  2. Provide basic personal information for each guest visiting the park, including name, phone number, ID type and ID number via Shanghai Disney Resort’s official online channels after purchasing a ticket and prior to arriving at the resort. A Shanghai Disneyland Reservation QR Code will be provided after the successful submission of the required identification information, and guests will be required to present the code before entering the theme park;
  3. Register for the Health QR Code prior to their arrival, which will be required to be presented upon entering any location at Shanghai Disney Resort. Only guests with a green Health QR Code will be allowed to enter the resort;
  4. Be prepared to present a China government ID card, or valid travel document, for each guest at the park turnstiles (photos or printed copies will not be accepted);
  5. Undergo temperature screening procedures upon arrival; and
  6. Wear an approved mask during the entire visit to the resort except when dining.
*These measures will continue to be reviewed as the situation warrants, and may be further adjusted.

**The validity period of a Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass will be extended for the number of lost days falling between the park’s closure date of January 25, 2020 and the end of the “Advanced Reservation Period.” A Shanghai Disneyland Annual Pass that expired before January 25, 2020 or that was purchased after the end of the “Advanced Reservation Period” will not be extended. The same extension policy will apply to the validity period for General Admission tickets for Shanghai Disneyland. The detailed extension policy, including block-out days, will be communicated with Pass and ticket holders separately.

Now the advanced registration/APs only entry is quite interesting!

Wow, it's a pretty strict reopening. A lot of what we speculated on here is fact for Shanghai, and I presume a lot of it will carry over to US Disney parks

Yeah some of the speculation here about that was dead on. Reservations regardless of ticket holder status. And general tickets not accepted. Tickets open on May 8 for limited time

The outside of most bags touches things all day long. The floor/net of ride vehicles, on the ground during shows, on the bench next to you, etc etc. I try to keep the straps from going on the ground but I know the outside of my bag is not clean. But the stuff inside my bag is, at Universal anyways, since only I touch it and I only touch it with clean hands.
but don't you have to touch the outside of your bag to open it?

Yes this makes me happy. Doing the right thing to keep everyone safe.

I still don't know how on Earth they would do it in WDW. Cancel everyone's trips and start with a clean slate? Call everyone and explain? What the heck do you do?? How many bookings do they have right now? So complicated.
It's super complicated. I had my March 30 res. canceled by Disney. I applied that cost to my May 25. Disney hasn't given me word on that cancellation yet, but I can only imagine it's coming.

This may be a silly question, but how do you wear a mask on a high speed ride? Disney does have a few thrill rides and coasters.

P.S.: Masks are easy to implement in China, they're used to it. In stateside parks, I doubt it.

Well, after reading that, I’m going to say Jrb was right on the Great Mask Debate! I don’t like it, and I’ll be interested to read exactly how and when it will be enforced and for some crazy guest stories in the beginning.
Why? Neither federal nor local government in FL is requiring it, just recommending it.

The Great Mask Debate is BACK ON people!!! Gear up the same thing you’ve said a dozen times and SAY IT AGAIN. IN ALL CAPS FOR EXTRA EMPHASIS!!

A point that's been raised before. The rides I can see it being a problem are Rock n Roller Coaster, Everest, and maybe Tower of Terror? Disney World really doesn't have that many thrill rides.

Capacity question:
Bob confirmed using dated tickets in Shanghai to manage capacity, but specified that it does not mean they will take the same approach domestically

..so, I guess maybe we could have required dated admission (park reservations I guess), maybe not.

Listening to the Disney Earnings Call...
Shanghai Disney opening May 11
Employees and Guests will wear masks
Face characters will not wear masks but will be at a distance.
Shanghai tickets will be dated to control access. Domestic approach may not be the same.

I’m staying out of the Great Mask Debate. I do have a lot of fun reading about it, though! So I hope it continues!

They make clear plastic backpacks specifically for these instances. The previous poster isn't talking about using a grocery store bag or ziplocs.

No chance. They spend more time digging around in my not-clear stroller pockets than they do my bag. With the number of strollers, that makes this a moot point
