Rum miniatures

Thank you for the information... Getting minis for our adult dude fe gifts.

Please be aware that many people will have access to the gifts left in FEs until the person who you intend the gift for gets them (including children).

Yes, I've read of FE gifts going missing.

I have to agree with Shmoo. If you are not handing them directly to adults, you risk kids getting a hold of them.

I think it is a wonderful idea, children should be supervises anyhow. I sure there are plenty of partial sail away drinks laying around as well. Just my thoughts,

Publix liquor stores do sell them...but not the regular Publix stores. I've also seen walgreens-liquor shops and they have good deals most times.

I agree that children should be supervised. However, many people allow their tweens/teens free access around the ship (as well as some of the younger kids) just going "from our room to the clubs and back" or "just going to the movies".

As to the partial sailaway drinks, I would think there's at least a bit of a "yuck" factor if they are thinking of drinking out of a glass that someone else (unknown to them) has been drinking. Mini liquor bottles in FEs are fairly pristine and easily hidden.

True I guess I was just raised to know right and wrong as a child even unsupervised :)

I totally agree with you on this. :thumbsup2

I think it's time for parents to start parenting on the ships. On our last cruise, I saw dozens of very young kids running around the halls or pool areas with no adult with them in sight! Then people wonder why bad things happen to their kids?

I was raised to be honest and not take what doesn't belong to me. And I did teach my boys the same. If they do get onto those bottles, then it is the fault of the parents that didn't teach them to be honest!

It may also be better to hand them in person for reasons other than children obtaining them. Some people may not drink alcohol for health or religious reasons. Although you are intending to do a very nice gesture some people may not take it that way.

You are right about that. But if you confirm with your group and see if anyone objects to getting these, then those people do would get something else :)

I think that's a great idea for a gift. And if people object they can pass it on. It's a gift - say thank you and move on.
We put our FE gifts in a bag - so they were a little concealed.

Honestly people I never said anything about FE I said it wasn't for personal consumption but thanks for assuming...

I was responding to Tianni's post. They specifically stated they were getting the rum for FE gifts.

I was not trying to cause an argument with my response to the other posts. I agree that children should be supervised, and should be taught not to steal. I would just hate to be in anyway responsible for a minor getting a hold of alcohol. I personally don't have any issue at all with people giving alcohol as a FE gift, I just want to make sure goes to the people that it was intended for
