Are you allowed to bring things to play with in the resort pools? Can you bring an inflatible ball? How about a tube for my DD8 to sit in? :confused3

I'd hate to bring these things with us if we won't be able to use them.

Thanks! :)

You can use a beach ball and the tube if it's not too big.

I've seen all kinds of pool toys there,

inflated, noodles and nerf.

As long as you don't cause problems for other guests, you should be okay. Just no rafts or large floats. At the water parks, they don't allow noodles or floats.

It may be allowed, but I would request you don't.

There are likely to be many others trying to enjoy the pool. I know I, for one, absolutely hate it when I'm trying to relax in a pool and people nearby decide to start throwing/swatting some ball around. It inevitably hits me in the head, spashes water in my eyes, etc.

I will even try to move away to another part of the pool. But for some reason the "fun" always seems to follow those of us trying to get away from it.

Personally I think the kids jumping in right next to me is more irritating than getting hit with the occasional pool toy.

But I expect both and just manage.

And I move away from them too...and yet they follow me! What's up with that?

. . . yes, to some extent

Can you bring an inflatible ball?
. . . small, yes
. . . large, no

How about a tube for my DD8 to sit in?
. . . those noodles, yes
. . . innner-tube type floats, no
. . . guards can't track kids with such items
. . . also, no floats/rafts-chairs, as they obstruct views

NOTE: Obviously, there is also a concern about disturbing others in the pool. But, the biggest concern is obstruction of guards viewing the pool.

Thanks for the replies.

I know what you mean about balls in the pool, Stinky_Pete...I always seem to get hit with them too! :bored:

I was mostly interested in the tube. We have a small clear pink tube that my daughter likes to sit in since she isn't the best swimmer.

I actually just looked online, and this is now the only approved flotation devices allowed in Disney pools.

Noodles and small rings for infants are ok.Tubes, inner tubes, rafts, etc are a NO.They obstruct the view of the bottom of the pool, and for safety reasons the lifeguards need to be able to see the pool bottom at ALL times.Your 8 yr could get a life jacket free of charge at the pool , if she can't swim

When we were at ASMo, my wife had to go into the arcade and sign a life-jacket out. If it was not returned we would be charged $50. We kept the jacket for the entire stay.

This was something new, I'm not sure if it's a policy for all resorts.

Do a google search for SwimWays Spring Ways Papasan Float.

They're small and fold up flat. They take about 10sec to blow up. Don't get the long float, but the little papasan chairs are great. My 6 year old loves to sit in hers.

They may not allow them.I have one for my 5 yr old and we were not allowed to use it...the lifeguards can not see under it to see the bottom of the pool. One person using it is not a big thing, but if they let one they have to let all, and that is where the problem comes in.Plus they aren't cheap .
