Okay I guess today is not my day. I share an office with someone, normally we get along great.

Everyone here has been getting sick and we keep passing it around. Another woman and I brought in Lysol and have been spraying every day.

Well, the guy next to me lets out this huge sneeze never covers his face nothing. I said gee thanks guess now I get to share your cold. He just laughed.

I sympathise! I work for a medical organization (a bunch of doctors, basicly) and we have an online suggestion box, the head of the organization will reply to all suggestions (in an effort to make him seem involved with us common workers, I guess) and we can read them on our company web page.

Well, a few winters ago a suggestion came in that all workers that came to work sick (as in more than a bit of the sniffles) be forced to take sick time (company is very generous with leave time) and go home so the rest of us dont' get sick too.

The good doctor's reply? "Well, as long as everyone washes their hands and keeps their hands away from their eyes and mouths, really, the spead of germs is so reduced that most people won't get sick!". Ummm, ever heard of AIRBORNE illnesses??? Washing hands really IS a good suggestion, but it really doesn't help us if Oscar The Over-Worker refuses to go home when he has the FLU!
