I would think that freezing temps, if that is what you mean, would be harmful to any plant. We don't get that much here, but I bring inside what I can and cover the rest when it happens.

Yes, but what do you do with your rubber pants? Surely freezing temps cannot be good for them either. Especially if you happen to be in them.

I probably should not admit this, but I worked for a company called the Rubber Company Gaskets people!! And if I remember correctly, extreme temperatures will eventually cause a rubber gasket to break down which is why it is important to have the right lubricant.
