Ru kidding me!!

Disney is now reporting that due to a systems "outage", Member Services is unavailable until tomorrow, May 1st.

That had me curious where you'd live to be an hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time... no place in the US as far as I can tell.

Wow!
I'd hate to be that IT manager
Probably has lots of people telling him/her to "Have a Disney Day!"

It's 6:25 and I just tried to log in and they want my one-time activation code (which I used for the one and only time back in 2006...I have NO idea what it is!)....and of course the MS (Accounting and all the rest) are all closed...

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.....

I will call them tomorrow...

But this may be enough to convince me to get out of DVC...of course, if they fix it quickly and easily I'll eat my words...but right now I'm seeing red!

Just called Disney CRO to try to get thru to tech support...while I was on hold, I pulled up dvcmember.com again so I'd be ready...this time (and 3 tries thereafter), I got a "the site is down for maintenance" rather than a screen telling me to enter my one-time activation number...

Sigh.

I do love Disney. I do love Disney. I do love Disney.

I HATE their IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I'm telling myself it doesn't matter so long as it works tomorrow...

My "red haze" is down to bright pink. We'll see how it works out tomorrow...

IT's a funny thing - you love us or hate us. The rest of the time you ignore us and pretend we're not there. We're the last on the list for bonuses, and first for layoffs.

I feel for the staff pulling out hairs trying to get this working. Trust me when I say this has to be even more frustrating for them than it is for any of us.

You think?

I wonder if my clients would continue to pay me if I got the job they were paying me to do as wrong as often as Disney IT does???

It's fixed!

DVCMember.com is backup. No more requirement to enter that long-gone activation code...and my reservation is still there.

Halleluiah!

Lesson learned: do not believe anything the website tells you when it's still "in maintenance"--it'll save an ulcer attack!
