RSR vs. Test track at Epcot

I have a question for those who have been to WDW's Epcot and rode Test track. First off I'm a big chicken when it comes to rides but I love RSR as it doesn't appear scary to me at all. So, my question is for anyone who has rode both RSR and Test track would you say that the speed on test track is about the same as RSR? The video I watched on YouTube didn't look scary to me but I don't like super fast rides like the mummy at Universal Studios. TIA for any advice on this one. I'm considering this on my next trip to WDW.

If you can ride RSR, you can ride Test Track. It is pretty much the same ride. You will probably be disappointed in TT after riding RSR, because the theming of TT is extremely bland compared to RSR, especially since the last TT update. I used to love TT, but after riding RSR, it pales in comparison. You should try it though!

Test Track is actually quite a bit faster with a top speed of 65 MPH (well, 64.9). RSR tops out at 40, but is much longer with more hills and turns. Test Track has a focus on speed at the end with a sharply banked curve that you go around as you come to the top speed on the straightaway. Still, it's not really much different than driving a convertible at highway speeds in a car. RSR has more theming, but TT really does cook at the end, so they're both great.

For the most part Test Track and RSR are similar in ride vehicle concept, but that's about it. RSR has a much better (and cuter) story, while Test Track is supposedly a series of vehicle tests (bumps, turns, curves, etc.). The biggest difference, in terms of speed comes at the end...Test Track goes much faster. It's supposed to be a vehicle test run for speed (and then braking) and the top speed is around 65 mph, whereas RSR gets up to around 40 mph. The fast part of Test Track is pretty short and it's not a like a roller coaster where there are up and down and sharp curves, it's more like driving in a car with the windows down (or in a convertible).

The hills on RSR give it a little more "wild" feel vs. Test Track feeling more like standard driving, but overall it's pretty mild. My mom and stepdad don't like roller coasters (BTMRR is about their limit) and they love RSR

While TT is fast, it's not roller coaster, hold on to your seat, white knuckle fast. It's a quick acceleration into a banked curve. There's no hills. I agree with the others, RSR is much more fun!

I rode TT year’s ago and didn’t like it. It was over so quick after waiting so long. No desire to ride it again. But I love RSR

Test Track is not scary. As others said it is one burst of speed and mimics speeding up in a car. You probably drive faster on the freeway. It also isn't as cute as RSR. I'd still give it a ride.

I rode both. Test Track isn't scary, one banked corner. I liked the queue leading in, but my preference is RSR.

Both are close to my favorites at each park (Haunted Mansion is very favorite but almost different category of ride). Both super fun.

Others have stated...I think Test Track is quicker. It's more flat with RSR having small hills.
Themeing of RSR is adorable..and first part starts out as Disney style ride.

You get a picture at RSR. Don't remember Test Track but think you do there too?

I always thought Test Track was really cool how your first build your car...and then on the ride you can see how it performs in each safety test.

Ok I'm going to try it. The video didn't make it look scary. I think the name initially scared me because I thought of crash test dummies...lol

I think you'l do fine. The inside part is basically like RSR in how it has like the occasional swerve or hard stop. Only the speed portion is faster. They used to use a lot of "crash test" symbols and such (like the black and yellow circles) but the new "Sim Track" style is themed more like TRON.

You’ll be fine. The fastpart outside of the building is pretty short. That part is more intense than RSR but it’s very brief.
