1. I see that hotel guests have early hours every day at 7am. If we get there at 8am, and go straight to RSR FP, what are the returns times likely to be? When are FP gone by? What are the lines like to get a FP?

2. Are they being strict with the RSR FP return times? Can you still return any time later in the day?

Thank you & Happy Planning!!

1. The early admission to DCA does not start until tomorrow June 18. So no one knows.

2. I have not heard anything about FP window enforcement at DLR so until I do I would say "no"

On June 15th they did not enforce the ending time on the FP, but made sure you came in after the beginning time on the FP. We had FPs for 8:55 AM, but used them at 9:50 PM because we wanted to experience RSR at night.

As I say this keep in mind that I went today, which is the first day So Cal AP's were not blocked out. There was also no early entry today.
I got there at 7:15AM and they were letting people into Buena Vista Street and all the way up to the side of the Carthay Circle Theater. There was a separate line for just FP and the line was already about 100 deep. This is 45 minutes before opening! I heard by 8:00 the FP line was all the way to ToT. FP were gone by 9:30AM. As my friend said they need a fast pass for the fast pass line!
It shouldn't be that bad most days, but be prepared to wait in a long line just to get FP for RSR.

Here is what is most likely to happen:
Hotel Guest/Annual Pass Holder will arrive for the opening of their MM/EE and will head straight for the ride if the line is not too long, otherwise they will line up for FP. Since the resort now has an official smart phone app and a phone number to call for wait times, they won't even have to go over to the ride to find Out which way is the best bet. Depending on how things work, guests without some form of EE this summer may not be able to get FPs at all.

Please note that this is strictly a guess.

As for enforcing te end times, they are considering it for RSR only. Even to the point that if the ride is down, you must show up at the attraction during your return windows and exchange the FP for a return pass, if you don't, then the FP would not be accepted late. Again, this is only a discussion and is not the policy yet, but a couple of suits said it might have to happen, at least through the end of summer.

Thank you for all the responses!

On a side note, I have SoCal AP, but I do not know what this EE/MM is
that I am entitled to? Thanks!

I have Disney mobile Magic, but what is the phone number to call for wait times?

Thank you for the info, but it appears all the California Adventure EE are all gone :headache:

I did register for DL EE though!! Thank you!!

Umm, that seems rather extreme, given that during MM/EE aka EMH the FP machines are off. Do you really think someone would walk in at 7 AM and get in line for FP, knowing the machines won't even be turned on until 8 AM?

I mean, I understand that many MM/EE aka EMH people will come to the FP line before the park is even open... but many of these people will be on rides, or already in standby line for RSR (probably for a second ride) and may not get to the FP line until 8 AM.

I'll toss in the wild card where today it sounds like they were letting people in at 7:15 AM to get in line for FP and get in line for entry to CL, and will throw my hands up and say while I have no idea how they could do this if there was EMH, who knows?

Really, it's all speculation, but I have a very hard time believing that if you are there early, arriving at 7:15 or 7:30 without EMH and a posted 8:00 opening, and go straight to the FP for RSR, that you'll be skunked. Possible? Sure. Likely? No.

DCA, like Disneyland, from my understanding, is letting people into Buena Vista Street an hour before the park opens and then at 8 they do a "rope drop" to the rest of the park. EE/MM folks will be getting some form of id, like a wrist band, to get them past the rope. Or perhaps, MM peeps are getting in with their hotel keys at the GC entrance and don't get a wrist band. However the EE pass holders do at least according to the email.

Just a tip if you are inclined. Forget the FP. I was there on opening day, and the FP line at the ride was averaging 1-1 1/2 hour waits. Not very FP to me. Our group utilized the the Single Rider line and never waited more than 45 min.

We were there Saturday and waited in the FP line around 15 minutes or maybe a little less.

Are we talking about the wait to get a FP or to get on the ride with a FP?

I am talking about getting on the ride. On opening day, people were waiting longer in the FP return line than I waited to ride twice in the Single Rider line.

I'm wanting to know this too. Someone posted in a different thread that it was 15 minutes yesterday. But I've heard it got to 2 hours opening day.
