RSR.....40"....it's official

:cool1: Yay! It's on the DL website now. After all the threads about this topic I can't believe there aren't any posts to this thread yet. Well, it's official, my youngest DD that is 44 inches will be able to ride when we go in July. :thumbsup2

DD is 39" and we're going in August! Not sure if she'll make it. At least she can ride the other 2 Cars Land rides. Can't wait!

DS was 39.5" when we went to WDW last fall. It was a slight bummer, but we still had a wonderful time. Have a fabulous trip, and use child swap!

Yay! DD(4) is 39" right now. Hoping she'll be 40" by the time we go in Oct.

That's exciting! We'll be at Disneyland in June. Our grandson is just 40", so he should be able to ride RSR. Of course, I'm going to be nervous about him riding it. He still seems so small to me!

That's so wonderful to hear! (And let's hope this announcement sticks! ;) )
While some people in other threads have wanted to point out that Disney is also for families where everyone is more than 48" tall, Disney parks are so special and important for people with those less than 48" tall because we don't really have other options for parks where not only can "short people" ride many, many rides (instead of a small handful in a kiddie area), but they can ride attractions that are so awesome that they are actually featured in the ads for the park that get the kids excited to go.

That's excellent! We're going in September and will easily make all of the 40" rides. I'm hoping for a growth spurt for 41-1/2" DD4 so we can ride the 42" rides as well.

Whew! DS is already over 40" so now to hope he is over 42" before next December!

Assuming you know this, but just in case...42" is Goofy's Sky School, Grizzly River Run, and the two attractions inside of the Redwood trail area (rock wall and skyjumpers tire swing). (I tell you the last two bits b/c I made the horrible mistake of taking 41.5" DS into the Redwood area to play after he couldn't ride Grizzly...such a bad idea since those were the two things he really wanted to do once he saw them, LOL)

Heh. I know that feeling well. I made the mistake of telling DD about the Goofy roller coaster before I discovered the 42" requirement. She may be wearing some extra-thick soles that day. ;)

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
DS5 is 44". I don't think he would have been disappointed if it had been 48" but I would have been, being forced to ride alone ...

Don't understand why this info on the DIS site is showing the height for matterhorn as being 42" yet here on the official Disney site http://disneyland.disney.go.com/attractions/list/ it is showing 35" so is this info on DIS really official?

I'm the one that updates the info on the DIS. I received the info for Matterhorn directly from my contact at Disneyland along with the info for Cars Land, so it's official as I can get.

I can't speak to the reason Disneyland has updated their OWN website yet. :surfweb:
