I know there are a few threads on this subject, but I'm organising my first trip to DLP in October and want everything to run smoothly!

For all those people who have used RS Transports between CDG and DLP, how long did you have to wait for any other passengers in a shared taxi - i.e. until you were all in the car and setting off? How long did it take you to get to DLP. Would you recommend them?

I have worked out that the difference in price between me getting the VEA coach and a shared transfer is approx £13. Is it worth the extra to get a shared transfer?

Thank you for all your help and advice :flower3:

For me, it all depends on timing.

I would normally use the VEA, especially if staying at an onsite hotel, because its door-to-door service, its easy, and its economical. However, if your plane lands at a time where you may have to wait more than 30 minutes for the next VEA, getting a shuttle with rs transport would be an excellent alternative.

I used the shared shuttle service with rs transport in November 07, when the public transport strike was on in France. I paid the shared shuttle price (there were 3 of us in my party) but we didn't have to share at all - we were whisked straight from our exit at our terminal at CDG to our hotel at DLRP within 40 minutes. Very efficient service, and we will be using it again in October (there will be 5 of us in the party then, so its really not much more than about 10 euros total for the private shuttle over the VEA price).

Hope this helps,

Elaine

we used RS TRANSPORT last week we found their service excellent, had a bit of confusion when looking for the driver with our name to collect us so had to phone their office, but once we found our driver we were driven straight to our hotel(they are there waiting for you once you come through from collecting your luggage so no need to go looking for the VEA bus pick up point)there were 6 of us so had our own mini bus we were at DLP in 40 mins.on our return the journey took almost an hour due to rush hour but were there in plenty of time for check-in

Several times we've had private shuttles (paying private price and shared). Our only experience of actually sharing meant we waited around 30 mins at the airport on the way to the park. Which I ahve to admit I found a bit of a drag.

Thanks for the replies.

For those of you that have used both the VEA coach and private shuttles, thinking of the return trip to the airport, if I had a private shuttle would I be able to leave the resort a little later than if I got the coach? I'm sure they both go the same way back to the airport, but with the coach having to pick up at the various hotels I'm not sure how much earlier I would have to leave?

I think, again depending on the times of the VEA pick-ups, you could leave the resort anything up to 45 minutes later with a private shuttle, compared to the VEA.

You might want to consider the TGV train for the return journey - it really is only 10 minutes straight from the train station at the gates of DLRP, into terminal 2 at CDG. There is then the free internal train service within CDG to get you to your departure terminal. It can work out much cheaper than the shuttle too, and in my experience, getting the TGV back to the airport gave me a good extra hour in the parks, over the VEA or a private shuttle.

I like reading the positives about RS Transport as we have booked them for the 3 of us come may. The reason we booked with RS is we have a 2 year son and ddn't want to drag him around looking for the VEA and didn't want to tour the other hotels before we got to ours.

I have looked at the TGV, but I'm coming back on a Sunday and the times of the trains mean I'll either get to the airport an hour before check-in opens or too late!

I like the idea of the shared shuttle, but was just wondering if it's really worth it.

Our journey time has been around 40 minutes from pick up to airport
