I recently booked a shared RS Transport shuttle for our CDG journeys. I have used them once before many years ago, but more recently used Ezyshuttle, so my experience isn't really valid.

John at Ezy has never taken a tip from me, despite me offering. So, if you've travelled with RS what have you tipped if you don't mind me asking? Have you tipped at all? It's 43 euros each way, so I'm presuming I just pay for one way each time in cash? Would rounding it up to 50 euros be acceptable? Sorry, I have no idea on tips as its been a few years since our last trip!

Also, I have had 3 lots of email confirmation from RS?? One just all text saying I must reconfirm journeys 24 hours beforehand? And the other two, nice colour images, don't mention I must do this at all? Just states both journeys and that I need to print it out and take with me. ** ETA - they have now emailed to say I don't need to reconfirm**

And finally, the first confirmation says I'll see a driver with my name on in the arrival lounge (after luggage etc). But the other two say I have to go to another part of the airport and look for driver out there??

I have emailed them to ask about the reconfirmation thing, but sometimes the language barrier, ahem, gets in the way iyswim :confused3. I really want to get this right as I'm travelling for the first time on my own with my two children, so feeling a little nervous! ::yes::

i use rstransports a lot when going to DLP - always book shared shuttle, and always go to the rendezvous point specified by rstransports on their email. If they are not there when I arrive, i call them from my mobile, and they invariably show up within a couple of minutes (they work out of CDG airport so they are onsite).

the only time I've had them waiting for me with my name on a board at our exit gate was when we arrived in the evening (after 8pm). For all our daytime flights we've met them outside at the rendezvous point they specify - which has always been in sight of our exit gate anyway, so not far to walk at all.

I don't usually book a return transfer (although I will be for this trip coming up). For our single transfers I do offer a tip, up to the nearest 5 euros over your price is enough I think.

have used them several times bit concerned as i havent received email confirming my shuttle booked it four days ago how easy is it to phone re language barrier

I don't speak any conversational French, when I phone them I use English, and I've always managed to make myself understood, and understood responses from them too :).

thank you for the reassurance will ring tomorrow try to sort out

Thanks Elaine - I think it was just the conflicting info in the emails got me! I will head for the rendezvous point if they aren't there. And yes, I will definitely have their numbers in my mobile, as well as a copy of my paperwork on me :thumbsup2:

lyc - I would just send them an email and say you haven't had confirmation yet. To be fair, they did reply to me re the 24 hours confirmation thing no problem at all, so clearly understood my waffling! Hope you get sorted. I seem to recall my confirmation took about 24 hours to come through, but I'm sure I got an email in the meantime saying something like 'we have your booking, we will confirm by email that this is OK'. With Ezyshuttle it's easy as John is Irish! BTW, I also speak a basic conversational French and can read French but try not to if I can to avoid embarrassment at how bad I am - terrible I know :rotfl2:!

give them a call - they'll be able to tell you if they have your original booking, and if they don't, you can sort it out with them on the phone.

We did 3 trips with RStransports. First time we arrived 30 mins too early, but I gave them a call and they came fast. Next time they had been waiting for me at exit with my name. This year we had a delayed flight, but I called them and everything was fine. I couldn't fond the gate they were at, so they came to the ones I was at. And I always book shared, but never had to share. I can't give them any negative comments, but they like to speed. But always helpful, always answer the phone and are patient.

For confirmation, check spam. I got mine there.

I was just about to ask if you'd checked your junk! Good that panic's over and now you can enjoy planning. :goodvibes
