Could someone please make me feel better. We leave for our flight from the states on Monday afternoon.
Back in May we booked transport from the airport to Newport Bay with BS Transport. The charge was made to our credit card and we got a confirmation e-mail showing our confirmation number, flight numbers and times, etc.
I just got an e-mail from RS transports reconfirming our upcoming booking. When I responded they said they just need our times. I responded saying how this is concerning me because we have already given that information and received a confirmation back, but the e-mails are changing between BS and RS transport. And we had to have new credit cards issued because the one that we gave them had an airline ticket purchased on it in France. They are the only ones there that have that number for this trip. The credit card company is taking care of that part of it. I am just worried that we are going to arrive at 7:00 Tuesday morning after an overnight flight with jet lag, with three children and a good amount of luggage because we will be on a cruise after a stopover at Disney and nobody will be there for us.
I really want this trip to run smoothly for us. We went on this same Med. cruise last year and made it to one port before our ship ran aground and was damaged. We ended up stuck in Civitavecchia for 4 days while they tried to repair the props before they cancelled the cruise. We had planned for over a year and the children were devastated. Well, we were given a voucher to rebook and this is a little surprise for the children on the way to Venice. We are really hoping that this trip will be as stress free as travel can be after all we went through last year.
If anyone has any input or experiences on what I should do with the transport please let me know. If they turn up not being there, we will dispute the charges, but has will we be trying to find a taxi for 5 with 5 large suitcases and 5 rolling carryons?
