Lots of people suggest getting in line for headliners at or near park close. Does anyone have experience doing this and rider swap?

Thanks!

We did RS at SDD near park close on Spring Break. We told the CMs at the entrance to the ride that we’d like to RS. They said that was fine, but they don’t scan bands at the end of the night. They told the waiting party to wait at the exit of the ride. Sure enough, when our first party got off, the waiting party was allowed to get on the ride, even though by then the park had officially closed so the line was closed. In that case, we didn’t enter the FP line, but were led by a CM from the exit to the loading area.

We had a similar experience at Soarin last year. Got in line (with what I thought was enough time for the first group to get done before the other party got in line) and got Rider Swap. The first group finished after park close and the other group was then allowed through the line (with a few other guests). We were all seated in B1 (the best row) and at the end of the ride all of the CM's were out waving bye to us. I greatly appreciated that they allowed us to do Rider Swap that late.

Thank you for your replies. Sounds like it worked for you how I hope it works for us!

Just last night we got in the Slinky Dog Dash at 8:45 (9pm close) and they let us do rider swap. Just told us to stand at the exit and wait for the first party. We rode Slinky twice in less time than we waited stand-by for Toy Story Mania.
