RRnR

Please keep this thread updated on the HR3.. as I am hoping and praying they finally get the express line up and running by the 14th...

Yesterday and today the moving loader was working. We waited about 25 minutes around 2 yesterday and about 15-20 min. around 3:15 today. The line really did seem to be moving faster.

Fantastic...and I'm assuming that is with no FOTL:thumbsup2

Interestingly. DH pointed out to me in the YouTube video that no one gets on or off so that must not have been taken during actual operation.

I'm dying to get over there and observe for myself but we just got back from a Disney cruise and next week is a weeklong media event at WDW so I'm not going to get to Uni. till the week after that. Will be interesting to see if the conveyer is still being used by then.

I'm going to try and check it out Saturday, if single rider is open.

The moving walkway seems very successful so far. People are getting in and out of the ride vehicles very quickly - the moving walkway seems to put a sense of urgency into everyone... and now there is ample time for song selection. :)

Angel.. how long is the wait??? Any hints toward express starting anytime soon???

No hints on the express that I can tell, but the queue is there, so it will be used someday... and now hopefully sooner rather than later!

It looks like it's going to be a very windy day (20-30 mph winds) but hopefully HRRR will be open. Perhaps I'll inquire about express.

EDIT: Ride didn't like me today. I got there around 9:40am or so and it was broken down. I was able to get in line and wait. They ended up taking a car off the track so I think that had them with only 2 cars. The moving walkway was being used, though I can't really give an honest opinion on it. Things were moving very slow..not sure if it was because of the downtime or what. I returned like 3 times throughout the rest of the day and it was down all those times, though it did open at some points. If anything, loading seemed a lot messier than it used to be. It was a lot more efficient before the walkway was open, imo.

DH was not at all impressed with the moving walkway yesterday. He waited 90 mins. for the Rockit (and it did not break down while he was waiting). They were using the platform and running three trains, and it was loading much slower than no platform/more trains. We know very well how long the old waits used to be from certain points in the queue. He started at a spot that used to be maybe 45 minutes so the glorious moving platform doubled his wait. Will they ever, ever, ever get the bugs out of this poor ride? They did not have a separate front row line but he ended up in row 1 by the luck of the draw. He says the ride was very smooth but the music volume seemed to be down.

Were they loading rows 3 and 6?

I guess I lucked out during my trip this past October. Got about 9 rides in on one day. Of course I would have ridden it more if I hadn't head the secret to why it took so long to be open. According to the inside source I talked to, apparently there was a 2 ft gap in the track that they had to get a piece custom built for. Oh well. If/When I get back to Universal, I'll still probably ride it.

Thanks for keeping this thread up to date.. we are leaving Saturday.. I'm hoping and praying that it at least will not have a long wait.. and of course my ultimate hope is that they have the express pass up and running by next week..

Please update as much as possible...

Well, the line seems to still have a bit of an issue but hopefully they will begin to iron out the kinks of it now that they have the moving walkway.

I'll be going again on Saturday, so I'll check things out again. Hopefully it'll go a bit better than it did this past weekend.

Thanks for the updates.. hoping to hear more current news over the next few days as we will be heading there in just 4 days!!!! If you have any current news over the next few days.. please post it here!!!
