Can anyone help me with the standard room at the RPR. I have stayed in the water views but never the standard so I do not know what to expect. Also does anyone have any suggestions for a nice room at the standard rate. We need something near the elevators and boat area since my mom has some walking difficulties.

Thanks to all.

I like room 1740. Nice view. But, I don't remember how far it is from the elevator.

I believe Tower 2 is closest to the boat docks. Request near the elevator for your Mom. The rooms are the same size, it's just the 'view' that's different. I think Tower 2 views the grounds or the pool....I'm sorry I'm not much help....we usually request/get Tower 1.

Good grief, Barb! You're putting the poor woman furthest away from the boat docks and in the pet tower. She's going to hate us all here now! ;)

Barb meant to say Tower 3. For the love of all that is holy, do not request Tower 2 (Tower 2 is in Easter Bib)! Seriously, Tower 3 is centrally located. You'll get better views of the parks, gardens in Tower 1, but Tower 3 is closer to the boat docks.

ETA: just tell them you have a member of your party with mobility issues. Tell them you want a room near the elevator in Tower 3. With any luck, you'll get an upgrade with a pool view (if you're a Loews Member and you booked a qualified rate and it's available when you check in).

Okay...so it was late for me then...sorry! :rolleyes1 Tower 2 is the PET tower....tower 3 is boats... I knew that.....

Thanks for catchin' that ;)

few questions here....sorry to steal your thread OP. Pets??? they allow pets at this resort? What is a Loews member? The lady on the phone could not tell me how tall the buildings are (I think I got a newbie) so I had to request the 3rd floor or lower because I'm afraid of heights. The website did not have this info either. I would love to hear all and any info. on this resort.

Yes, the 3 onsite hotels are pet friendly. If staying at RPR, Tower 2 is the building they put the pets in.

What is a Loews member?

Loews First Member. It's free to join (at their website) and you get perks for being a member (which are explained at their site). Welcome gift of your choice, your stays accumulate and earn you higher status, which will get you free upgrades, late checkouts, etc.....

I believe all the buildings are 7 floors (with 3rd usually being the lobby level).... I believe there are "stickys" above regarding info on the rooms and views....

thank you all. When do you put this request in. I am a Loew's member but not sure about an upgrade since we will be checking in on December 28th.
What do you think?

p.s. I chucked at your responses, needed that smile.

:rotfl:

Hi Erin, go ahead and add your request to your reservation. They do read them. If you are really concerned about your mom's mobility issues, call the hotel about 5 days before you arrive.

You are going during a black out date, so your chances aren't good, but check in early and ask nicely anyway. You never know!
