Just got back from three days at RPR. We paid $320.00 per night over Presidents Day weekend. I was disappointed in the room for the price. It needed updating badly. The room was about the same as what I would expect from a Holiday Inn, only 3X more costly. Just didn't feel like It was a luxury resort. That being said, the fol access is great! The hotel grounds were very nice, and the service was excellent. Would I do it again?? I'm not sure.....but you can't beat the location. I just think if they're going to charge those kinds of prices, they need to keep up the rooms better....Just my opinion........... ;)

I agree, the rooms are the same size you would find in another other hotel.

It's all the other stuff you're paying for, like the pools, short walk to the parks, and of course, the FOTL. That was a lot of money you paid to stay, so I can see why you are a little let down.

Just like staying at a beach front hotel, you are paying $$$ for
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

We are geaded there in May. I hope we aren't disapointed !

It is kind of like the Wilderness Lodge. You pay big bucks for the ambience, but the rooms are really nothing special.

I haven't been to RPH for two years and the room was in great shape. I'm going again in two weeks and I'll report back on the condition of things. I, however, am only paying $169/night.

You're Price sounds much more reasonable! RPR is definately worth $169.00. You're right about the Wilderness Lodge too. We haven't been there is many years, but I really liked it. The rooms were in great shape then!

Holy moly...$320! Yikes! I'm happy to hear that you still had a good time despite your disappointment of the room. I think I paid $179 at RPR in 2004. It was worth $179 to me because of the location, atmosphere, service, convenience, oh and of course, fotl. :) But, $320? I definitely wouldn't pay that much. I was lucky enough to book at $129 (APH rate) for my next trip.

If I've had a particularly bad experience somewhere, I tend to write them a little letter/fax/email politely letting them know about my experience. I always go on the assumption that just maybe the person who's "in charge" doesn't know about the problem. It could be that specific room was worn for some reason, maybe other rooms aren't that worn??? Someone can't fix a problem they don't know about. I don't know, it might help...and it might not. :)

Thank you so much for your review...it is much appreciated. :goodvibes

How did you get that price? We are going in June and we have $203 a night, I would love to get $169 instead.

WOW! $320/night is one of the highest rates I have heard of at RPR. I have never paid more than $159. Was that for a standard room? Even with it being President's weekend that is an extremely high rate. I love RPR but I agree that it is not worth $320/night.
