RPR or PBR?

I hope I did the abbreviations correctly! I am torn between which one to stay at. I'd love to have the balcony, but I'm reading they are few and far between. Which one has the least amount of walking time to Islands of Adventure?

I have stayed once at the RPR and had a very nice stay, so I thought I would try PBR next, but after reading some things about it, I'm having second thoughts.

We just got back from a great stay at PBH. We love the resort - it is very relaxing, and the rooms and bathrooms are large. We also love RPR, but the rooms are a bit smaller and there is no pool slide (but you can pool hop).

RPR is closer to IOA. PBH is the farthest from the parks.

There are very few balconies at PBH - I wouldn't count on one.

We originally booked RPR for our trip, but the AP rates came out and we got PBH for less. We would have been happy at either.

PBH is a better hotel, IMO -- and the boat service to CityWalk is pretty good. But RPR is way closer to IOA.

Still, I'd pick PBH. RPR is nice enough, but PBH is on another level.

we have stayed at both and love both- just love pb a little more.

if you request ground floor - bay view - at least you get a patio.

we request a balcony and nothing else and so far we have been lucky- we have

gotten a balcony on every stay. good luck and have a great time!

You all are making it very hard to choose! I showed mom both resorts (she is going with me) and she thinks the RPR looks more to her taste. Having stayed there once, I can say it's a lovely hotel.

Can anyone tell me why they think PBR is better?

I think it all boils down to personal preference. We love RPR for the laid back atmosphere, surroundings, and staff.:thumbsup2

We really liked RPR, but chose PBR for our next trip because the rooms are bigger. This is going to be at the end of a long DVC villa stay (starting in a 2 bedroom, then studio, and ending with a 1 bedroom, mostly at OKW), and last December when we went from a biiiig room to the small hotel room, it felt way smaller than it really was. So since PBR is just a bit bigger, room-wise, we're going with that.

Plus, hubby dreams of going to Italy, so this is just a little touch of it for him. :)

I have read lots of reviews on both and with what they said plus my own experiance at RPR, I think we may stay at PBR. I had a decent stay there but I had some negatives too. And especially since the bathroom has 2 sinks, and RPR only has 1 sink! That was fine when I stayed by myself, but it's a big plus w/2 adults and I like the idea of a bigger room. Not to mention, I've experianced the one already and would like to experiance the other too. I think I'll take mom over to the RPR though so she can at least see it. How do you get from resort to resort? Do you have to ferry to Citywalk and then hop the ferry to the other resort?
