Newbie Qs - not sure how Loews handles things yet...

Keep checking RPR for a Saturday in early Dec.; booked solid (although Friday & Sun are available).

Should i assume it's booked for a convention or some other event and book @ one of the other resorts?

Just wondering if they hold blocks of rooms, then release them if unused a month or so before arrival...and i should keep obsessively checking lol.

RPR is home to many conventions in early December. It could open up though. If thats where you really wanna stay I would keep checking but book somewhere else so you have a room, you can always switch it. If they are holding space for a group rooms could easily be released back when they know they wont be needed.

We stayed there early december and the parks were quiet but RPR was packed!

Are you looking for AAA rates only or is it all rates unavailable? I have been checking since April to get Sat Aug. 4. Clerk told me yesterday Sat. at RPH have a 3 night minimum for AAA rates. Not sure if it was just during peak time. We ended up booking Sun instead. She did tell me to keep checking as the time gets closer.

Even @ rack rate:eek: ; no rooms available @ RPR.

I know i've priced out 2 nights for June 29 & 30 (fri & sat) @ RPR via AAA recently.:confused3

Just checked AAA's website for your date (Aug 4):

No AAA rates @ RPR or HRH

PBR GV $239.20 +
BV $263.00 +

good luck.

I find it hard to believe that there is actually no vacancy at RPR. We were there in early December once and the parks are DEAD. I would imagine that things will open up. I've had this problem with the HRH before and then suddenly there are tons of rooms.

Don't know if you were calling direct or trying to book online, but I have had the experience where there was NOTHING available online, but when I called they had plenty. When I questioned them about this they said that those dates probably weren't updated in the system yet.

I get availability for the first 2 weekends in Dec at $209 a night. What dates?

Ya, I find availability as well. However, for Dec. 1 you need a two night minimum but Saturday, Dec. 8th is fine as a single night booking.

that must be it! wonder why - big convention or some event?

i just need the 1st; wanted to sneak a repeat in before heading for Tampa the next a.m.

i'm able to pull up 1 night AAA rate via their site @ PBH. Guess i should book it soon so i have somewhere to rest my head.:)
