Okay, DH & I ran thru some of our pics really quick....and since we're still on vacation, I wanted this to be easy and short....so, here are some pictures of the Royal Pacific resort:

This is the fruit and water welcome gift I choose thru the Loews First Membership.....DH raved about the fruit (he said it was incredibly delicious). The water we received was a liter of Fiji water (how fitting) on ice. There are extra bottles of water in your room, for a $6 charge EACH! :scared:

This is the view from room 1729 (only 2 rooms down from the 1733 room). You would probably have this view for any ODD numbered room in Tower 1, 7th floor....but, more details on that to follow (when I find the map and paper I wrote room numbers on). You can see an awesome view of IOA and Hulk. We could see Spiderman, Suess Landing & Ripsaw Falls in the distance and Universal & Hard Rock hotel WAY FAR in the distance. I was extremely pleased with this view. The 2nd picture you can see the inside of our window, the curtains and a chair off to the right...gives you more of an idea of how big the window was and the actual view. In the 4th picture, you can see the waterway went right in front of our room with the walkway.

This is a picture of the volcano erupting in Margaritaville. The water spurts out the top, runs down the 'mountain' and fills the Blender. It's neat to watch as they play the "Margaritaville" song. I bought myself the "Lost Shaker of Salt" as a souvenir! :teeth:

The 2nd picture is me & DS on the walkway from RPR to CityWalk. It's not far (the 5-7 minute time you read about is accurate, depending if you're walking or strolling). The pathway has beautiful flowers and bamboo and winds along the waterway. If you're too tired, there are usually rickshaws working the path and they don't charge for the ride, but they DO work off tips. We have no idea the "going rate", but my DH is about 215lbs., so we gave him $10 for the 3 of us for our one-way ride....I hope we weren't cheap!

This is a picture of one of the spheres from the Universal 360 show. This scene happens to be the movie "The Breakfast Club" (if you've seen the movie, the "dance" will look familiar!) Now, let me say, you need to be on the "long" end of the lagoon to watch this show. We were at the "end" (short side) of the lagoon, and our view was halved. They show the same thing on all 4 spheres and the same thing on each side. We had a "top" view of the sphere, so it was hard to follow the show. For instance, the left side of the sphere (from our view) was the END of the picture and the right side of the sphere (from our view) was the beginning of the show...so, we were kind of looking at it backwards. Now, we happened to be there on it's debut night, so it was very crowded. I did notice a Universal Mastercard "VIP" entrance, so if you have that, it should help. I would get a spot early, as it does get crowded. It is only a 15 minute show and runs thru a LOT of movie hilites over the years. I would make an effort to see it once, but after once, I (myself) don't feel the NEED to see it again.....(unless I get a better view this time).

Well, that does it for now w/ the pics.....I am still on vacation (just not in UO) so, I'm going to relax! I still don't mind answering questions, I just probably won't get a trip report in till I return home next week!

Hope you enjoyed!! :)

Thanks for posting neighbor! Can't wait to check into the RPR in 20 days! :woohoo: :yay:

I asked this on the other thread, but thought I'd ask here to...what's so infamous about room 1733? :confused3

If you read the sticky post about room assignments, the vets tell you to try to get room 1733....an awesome view. Well, that room was 2 down to the left of us, so we did just as good with room 1729!

Loved your pictures. The walkway does look pretty and I loved the one from Margaritaville, very cool.
