Is it worth the prices I see on their menu? The food sounds absolutely delicious and I'd love to treat DS and I to a nice meal out.... but that is pricey to go and then be let down.

Anyone been?

Oooh tricky! I have never been to that location. I have been to the ones down here in La Jolla and downtown San Diego and it was like night and day - La Jolla was amazing and the San Diego one was a total dud with terrible service and cold, sub-par food. My friend's mom (who went with me to the San Diego location) also was shocked, because she has gone to the one in Chicago and thought it was amazing.

I think it can definitely depend on the location.

I really liked the lobster potstickers and the short ribs :)

Only had their food once at the Pasadena location, and it was paid for by my employer (holiday party in 2009), so I don't know about if it's worth the price, but it was SO GOOD!! So it is on my list of restaurants to visit when we go to Aulani this year... there is one not too far from the resort.

Went there twice during our stay last summer. Happy hour is from 3:30 or so til 5:30 or 6 I think and they have great reduced price appetizers which you can easily fill up on, they have a great selection and reduced price cocktails as well. Didn't do dinner, but judging by the app's, this location is definitely not a dud!

We have one locally and love to go for the souffle ... its even better than the one on the DCL ships ... some of the appetizers and cocktails are decent too but its all about the souffle, so my advice would be go for apps & dessert. :thumbsup2

I've never eaten here but we walked in to look at the menu in November 2011. It was just myself, DBF and DD12 (then 11) that trip and we thought we'd check it out. None of us found anything that we thought we would love so we left. I honestly was not impressed with the menu personally, but again, I haven't eaten there. Our family prefers to eat at Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, CA Pizza Kitchen or Bubba Gump when we eat at the GW. Oh and at Johnny Rockett's!! our next place to try at the GW is Fire & Ice.

Go to Happy Hour! It's fantastic and a great value.
The food is fantastic. Very nice restaurant indeed. You will drop over $100 easily for dinner for 2. That's why Happy Hour is such a great deal.

There are some REALLY good apps on the Happy Hour menu. Lobster California Roll was yummy, potstickers were good, so were sliders. And the specialty drinks are yummy, too.

Don't know about dinner, but "Aloha Hour" is a good value, I think.

Hmmm we have Cheesecake FActory/PFC/CPK at home so maybe we'll give Bubba Gump a try!

DD15 and I usually share a meal, they are so big it's easy to order too much to eat. We love the peel and eat shrimp appetizer, it's so good!
