We are planning the Royal Tea on the Dream with my 5yo however my 13yo is a little disappointed that she can't go. I saw that she can attend and pay as an adult. Has anyone ever taken older children? Do the princesses interact with them as well? She was slighted at a WDW princess dinner this year and I don't want that to happen again!! She wouldn't want the "extras" but would want the special cupcake? :)

I'm curious too! My mom wanted to go with my daughter (who was 11 at the time) and me, but I told her I didn't think the cost was worth it for an 11yo. Now we're all going on a larger family trip next year, at which point she will be 13, and I know this will come up b/c my nieces are younger and will be the perfect age for it. Same thing re: the "stuff". FWIW, it does feel like the characters on-board interact more with any ages, in comparison with parks' characters.

We did the tea in January (both my kids are under 10) and did not notice any child in the 13-17 range. However, it was small and I'm sure they would certainly interact with your daughter! There was a lot of time to interact with the princesses so I don't see why not. But don't expect the cupcake - I think that is part of the overall experience for the 3-12 year olds only.
