Royal Tea reservations question

Cinderella hosts the tea, so she likely will always be there. On the Magic last May the tea was at 3 PM and was attended by Cinderella, Belle, and Tiana. A formal invitation came to the cabin, as well as a note requesting a phone call with cupcake order.

There was plenty of time for BBB before the tea. I chose a BBB time fairly close to the tea and was glad I did. She met other girls in BBB and by chance we shared a table with one of them at the tea (table places are preassigned by DCL).

This March on the Dream DGD (age 5) had BBB in the morning, before the Princess gathering in the lobby. At 11 AM after seeing all the princesses, she tore everything out of her hair, took off the new dress, and proclaimed she was going swimming. I was so glad that weeks before I had cancelled the tea.

The two times we've done the tea, I've asked my daughter first if she's willing to give up a sea day to be a princess. So, we've done BBB around 11, then the Princess M&G and the Frozen M&G sometime after that. The tea has been at 3:00 both times we've done it. She has just decided ahead of time that that will be a princess day and not a swimming day. I've given her the choice though. She was also 9 and 10 when we did it, so she was able to make that choice. I'm not sure a very small child would be able to decide something like that. I told her I wasn't going to pay for BBB and the tea if she didn't really want to do them and make that commitment. I was certainly fine with her not doing them. She really wanted to though, so she had to fully commit. I also would never do the tea on a shorter than 7 day cruise.

I am hoping to book the tea on our 7-night cruise to alaska this August for my daughters 5th bday (which falls during our cruise). We are silver...i know it must vary by cruise depending on the make-up of the guests on ship, timing etc., but wondering if anyone has had experience booking 90 days out and can comment on availability?

We are silver...i know it must vary by cruise depending on the make-up of the guests on ship, timing etc., but wondering if anyone has had experience booking 90 days out and can comment on availability?

It really depends. I know at 90 days for my last cruise, the sea day tea was full, the shore day tea was not.

We'll be in Alaska for a 7-day this summer. I booked 3 of us (silver) a couple weeks ago and added the newbies today. No problem with availability! They have it scheduled on two days, and neither was sold out. I booked the last sea day and believe the other day was the first sea day.

We had Tiana, Cinderella, and Rapunzel on the Magic. Belle was on the ship and we saw her at an early princess gathering but apparently, she was sick the day of our tea because she was also missing from the princess meet and greets that day.
