I'm hoping to do the Royal Tea Party on the cruise with my daughter, but for $270, I'd love to know more about it from those who've done it. I've only seen two reviews and the rest is the official stuff that Disney put out. I can't find anything but a very short video on youtube either.

Has anyone done it that could share their experience?

Have you read this? It's from when it started, but it's a pretty good description of what goes on.

Here's one thread (a little old) about it:

Thank you, I hadn't seen one of those. Most of what I can google is just people complaining about the price, not actual experience. I'd love something more updated, as some of the old ones seem to clash with the information I found from Disney, but this is a good start!

I see originally people were saying that BBB would be part of the Royal Tea. That didn't end up happening, correct? Can anyone confirm that?

Bibbity Bobbity Boutique is a separate thing. I think a lot of people schedule an appointment for their kids at BBB as part of the whole Royal Tea experience, but it's a separate thing.

Okay, that's what I thought. I've been reading about what people were saying when it first launched, and I guess originally Disney was going to make it one big event but I hadn't heard anything since then so I didn't think it happened. I'm doing both anyway, so it would have been GREAT if they did combine the experiences, but either way my daughter will get it done.

Another question - do the girls get the actual Disney Princess doll or a cheap knock off one? In Disney's photos I see the actual nice Disney Princess doll but in some of the pictures of people from the cruise I see the kind that I can get from Target.

Thank you!
Do you have a picture of the doll the girls get? Disney advertises the actual Disney Princess doll but I keep seeing pictures of people getting the Target/Walmart lookalikes. My daughter loces the look of the official doll on the Disney page.

My link above shows several photos of the doll. My friend who cruised about 2 months after us had a different Aurora doll instead of Cinderella.
