Royal Plaza in Disney World

Can anyone give me some info/review about Royal Plaza in Disney World. I am planning to visit this may, and wanted to know how this hotel is like. How is the quality of room, and shuttle service like? How does this hotel compare to moderate resorts of disney (csr, por etc). I can get rooms for about $105 plus tax and Royal Plaza - just want to get some opinions on this hotel.

The rooms have been completely redone and they are very nice. The view from the upper floors is fantastic.
The bar was great.

We were only there one night..didn't get a chance to try out pool, looked nice though.

As far as shuttle..they had the nicest thing. A free shuttle, you just tipped the guy..very cool. We couldn't find him on the way back of course, lol. We were at DTD...but the cab driver didn't charge us..lol, he just gave us a ride for a tip also. It was great!

I just spent a nite there in January, as our townhome was booked the first night we arrived in town. It was a nice hotel as hotels go, definitely on the nicer side....the beds were somewhat on the small side for our liking. We thought we'd be ok for 4 adult guys to spend 1 night there in a room with 2 double beds and a pullout sofa couch...nope..no way. When we checked in we had to go down to the front desk and get a 2nd room.

At the $139 a night rate I got, I'd rather rent a place offsite though to be honest, more space, better amenities, etc. x2 and we definitely should have stayed the 1 night offsite! lol

Ask for a room that faces the front of the hotel...from other reviews I've heard the back overlooks the highway and you can hear a lot of highway noise.

I'm really considering spending a night or 2 here before we go to the Nick hotel. It looks like a nice place and I have read good reviews on Mousesavers & trip advisor.
I would love to hear more reviews. How is this place if you are traveling with kids. How is the pool?

mousesaver.com - follow their instruction as to how to put in the corp code MOUSE - it's $105 for regular room, $120 for tower (plus there is a $8 per day resort fee which wont show up on total, but you'll have to pay at the hotel i'm guessing)
