ROYAL PACIFIC RESORT INFO...FAQ and more......

I don't believe you will be able to access the club since you will need a room key to get the elevator to go to the top floor where the club is located. That is the only floor you need a room key to access. But they may have a work around at the front desk when you check in, so someone else may know better. I do know that it is their policy to not allow club access beyond checkout time on your departure day.
There is a TV in a nook to the right when you enter the club that is in the small kids' section that was always tuned to cartoons with no sound. I believe there is also a TV to the left as you enter at the end of the buffet, but we never sat there so my memory is more fuzzy on that one. I never remember any TV with sound on. If you can get in there, I don't beleive the staff would mind changing the channel one bit. They are very helpful and kind.
Thanks. I had assumed that it was the same as express pass access starting at check in, but I can see why it would not be, with the card needing to be programmed to your room on that floor. We could always ask and see, assuming our room is not ready when we arrive at around 2. It's good to be forewarned also that we won't have access past checkout when we move to a different hotel.

Which reminds me -- can we still have our luggage shipped for free (a tip obviously) from RP to a lower tier Universal hotel? Or should we move it ourselves?

I emailed them a while ago and got a reply saying that they would transfer it for us from RPR to Surfside, but couldn't do it the other way around.

I just checked into RPR--my first time here--and it is just beautiful! I'm loving hanging out in the room.

Question. We booked this room with an AP discount, assuming one of us would upgrade to an AP after we checked in--or while we were checking in--but no one has asked for it. We currently have 3-day 2-park tickets that we purchased through UT.

Should we say something at the front desk? I mean, I'm assuming they're going to ask to see the AP at some point, perhaps when we check out. Yes? No?

This may be moot, because if we love Universal, we'll be upgrading to APs anyway, but if our 3 days here seem sufficient for the next year and we can avoid upgrading we will.

I'm not trying to sneak around. I fully expected that we'd have to pay for one AP (the one of us who booked the room), but since no one has asked to see it, I thought I'd check here on the DIS before doing/not doing anything.

Thanks!

You don't have to check out at the front desk - they'll email and/or text you your portfolio overnight the night before you check out, then you can check out via text, email or via the TV.

When staying in a room at an AP rate, you are supposed to present the AP either at the time of check in -sometimes they ask for it, sometimes not - or at the very latest, before check out. If this isn't done, then they can change your rate to rack rate which is MUCH more expensive as the AP discount is significant. We always make sure to present our APs the first day so we don't forget to make sure we keep the AP rate.

Thank you!

ETA update: My sister purchased the AP this morning. Not only has no one at the hotel asked to see it, but we have now twice offered to show it since we changed our reservation and we have an AP rate, but both hotel clerks (are they TMs?) we spoke with said they didn't need to see the AP. Perhaps this is because they can see the AP on the computer? I do not know.

Does express pass start first thing in the morning or not until check in time? Do we also get early park entry both days? Sorry haven’t done universal since 2016 😆
You get early park entry on both days. Express pass starts as soon as the parks officially open on both days. You just need to have your room keys in hand when in the parks. When you arrive at the hotel (as early as 7am if you want!), check-in at the front desk. Your room will likely not be ready, but they will still issue your room keys. Those plastic cards are your express passes. Store your luggage with Bell Services for free, and then head to the parks. Enjoy!

You can check in as early as you like, usually anytime after 6am you`ll get your room keys even if they`re not ready yet and then you can head off to the parks for early entry and yes, you get early entry both days.

Thank you both so much!

Any experience on club level? I see the rates are $100 more per night late Dec. I know it’s subjective but any opinions if this is worth it? We’re a family who generally likes being in the park all day. The most I can think we would make use of this is have an early breakfast or late night snack? Are there specific hours this is open?

Times and offerings are listed in the first post of this thread. We try and keep it as up to date as possible.

It`s hard for anyone to judge whether or not it would be worth it for you, but we are always impressed with the lounge and the staff who are incredible, they are very helpful and can`t do enough for you.

Agree it's subjective. Breakfast is good. We usually took a break and went back for the evening appetizers and beer and wine, then back to the park for a few hours (this was during busy times when the park was open later). Rarely made it back in time for the desserts, could sometimes grab a cookie as they were closing up.

If you park commando on 9am-10pm+ days, my hat's off to you!

Late Dec is an excellent time for club because *most* people will take a break when the hours are that long. Back the room/lounge for light dinner/booze at 6pm, then return to the parks recharged for the last few hours. But if you know you won't, club level is rarely worth it just for breakfast & bottled drinks.

Thanks! I forgot about that and will definitely check it out! Glad to hear positive reviews though!

I’m thinking depending on the hours maybe we should take that break. If I book club level, I’ll definitely say we should take a couple of hours to have a break in the hotel 😂

I would typically go the whole day but we do take longer lunches and sit around the park. I haven’t looked at the hours but if the hours are longer we may take that break. I think last time parks closer 8-9pm so we just stayed the whole time.

Staying at RPR (for the second time) next month w/ my DS16. We did not buy resort mugs or eat at the RPR at all last trip.
Resort mug question- can you fill it with coffee too somewhere like WDW? On our last stay I recall my DH waiting in a VERY long line to buy regular coffee (that was like $5/ cup!) I drink a lot of coffee and would rather not wait in a long line. I have found mixed answers.
