Thanks to the great tip on here about Orangevacations.Com! I went there and got decent rates for a stay in October. Dh and I went to Universal about 3 years ago and started at the Royal Pacific and it was really beautiful! This time we are taking our 3 chilren ages 9,7, and 6. I found that the rate for Hard Rock is $66 more for the 2 night stay than the Royal Pacific. Since I have never seen Hard Rock, I am not sure whether to spend the extra $66 to stay there. What is your opinion to those who have stayed at both and have kids?

I have stayed at both and due to the ages of your children I would go for the RPR. The pool area is really awesome. The only thing the pool is missing is a slide which the HRH does have. When my kids were 9 and 4 they loved RPR. Now that my daughter is 12 she want the HRH!!

We stayed at the RPR a couple years ago for a week. The resort was kinda like a vacation all by itself very relaxing and easy to manuver around.Unless someone in your group is a big rock fan I would pick the RPR just for the atmosphere.

I have stayed at RPR three times and HRH once. Our son is a teenager and we still prefer RPR. Pool is great, theming is so tropical and relaxing - I vote for RPR. As a matter of fact, we were there this week - I wish we were there right now. It's 20 degrees in Detroit!
