Hi there....we have stayed at HRH before and loved it the first time and then the 2nd time had some minor issues with the room assignments. But it wouldn't stop me from staying here again.

We are looking for a short 3 day/2 night visit 7/27-7/29 prior to leaving for a cruise. Right now I am thinking maybe we should try Royal Pacific...my questions:

-Difference in walk to resorts? I love the short walk from HRH? How does Royal compare?
-Room layout and size?
-Pool area..my kids loved the slide at HRH (boys ages 11 and 6)
-Price...is there a difference

Thanks!!!!!!!

i am hoping that anyone that has stayed at rph posts their answers and thoughts here also.

i have stayed exclusively (except one night/pbh) at hard rock hotel 9 times and going to try rph for the first time in october. very interested in what will be posted here. so much i need to learn about rph

i am a rph virgin and know nothing about this hotel

I've stayed at rpr 6 times always been a great time. the walk to the parks takes about 10 mins (ioa) a little longer to uso, you come out right by
margaritaville by lone palm airport. the hotel is very tropical in design as is the walk way to the park. the rooms I have stayed in are nice & dark in color
375 sq. ft . the pool (no slides) is very large and designed like a lagoon with a small island at one end, love the pool and they have play area for kids with water cannons and water coming down from the roof of the structure.
jakes bar is nice they have a outside sitting area looking over the water with a water fall, good food also. the lobby is awsome great theming.
Like you mcraven I am staying for the first time away from what I've used to I will be at the hrh instead of rpr(feel kind of guilty :confused3 )
rpr is a fine place take your time explore they have many places you just will have to take pictures of .....beautiful place.

tricky 1

2 years ago the shortcut was blocked off. it is where you walk around the pool on the bar side and turn right after the bar.
from there, go thru the gate which empties out to a side walk in the employee parking lot. a one minute walk to the entrance to us side entrance.

now for the shortcut, you have to exit out the front door, turn left and go past the entrance of the palm resturant. go down the stairs turn left.
this is very near the original shortcut area. a 2 minute walk to the park from here.

that short walk i will miss at hrh.
hope you really enjoy your stay there.

i am looking forward in trying rph this fall.

I am looking very forward to the hrh, we will be there in may with neice &
nephew , but come oct our yearly anniverserary /hhn without kids ..kick back cut a rug vacation we will be at the rpr :cool1:
the oct. trip is my favorite, but what they dont know won't hurt them.

Walk to the resort is 7 minutes for an adult. If you are dragging kids, it may take about 10.
Room layout is what you would find at any other regular hotel. The RPR doesn't have a sink in the bathroom like the HRH does. I think the RPR rooms are slightly smaller than the HRH, but it never bothered us.
RPR pool doesn't have a slide, but they have a volleyball net, 2 basketball hoops, and the ship with squirt guns to play on. The kids will enjoy the RPR pool, and if you want to go back to the HRH pool, you can hop.
RPR is slightly less expensive than the HRH.

Many people on this forum made the RPR their favorite last year, because the HRH was overbooking and had other issues.

Hi there, I stayed at both HRH & RPR, I thought the HRH was 'cooler' but the Royal was more relaxing. The rooms are beautiful and the pool is fun. I think you should check it out :)
