Royal Court Tea or BBB?

just for comparison of price, afternoon tea at Disneyland hotel is $50/ adult, $65 with alcohol, $35 for kids. No it doesnt come with gifts or princess meetings but at that price you could buy the doll, etc and meet the princesses at the park.

i feel like Royal tea onboard is overpriced even for Disney standards. especially considering the fact that desserts and pastries and princess meetings are already included in the cruise fare.

We have not done the tea but my daughter was 3 when we did BBB and she absolutely loved it. All of the pampering and make up. We did not buy a dress on board we bought several dresses from the Disney store after Halloween and took our own so the cost was not that bad. In addition to getting the BBB make over the whole family got pirate makeovers on pirate night and it was great.

Were the times of the royal tea party posted prior to the cruise? Also what day is it on? I would like to do BBB right before the tea party to celebrate my daughters 7th birthday

On my upcoming Sept cruise the Tea will be held on our Grand Cayman day and our 2nd sea day, both at 3pm

My daughter was 4 (and just barely) when we tried BBB and she absolutely loved it! We did just the crown package but right before we went to her appointment I surprised her with a new princess dress that I had packed for this. (Some of the Disney ones are too itchy for my daughter as well. The tulle or mesh seems to be the culprit.) She was so happy and just had the biggest smile all day. Go with your instincts on what would work best for your child and what ever you choose-I hope it is fantastic!
