Has anyone done this? We are booked on the Fantasy W. Caribbean Itinerary C with four port days. What are the chances that the Royal Tea will be on one of the days we are in port? It concerns me that we would schedule a shore excursion and have it conflict. FWIW, my daughter REALLY wants to do this. I know it's pricey, and I'm not concerned with price for the moment, but did you think it was well done? Did your child (and you?) enjoy it? I don't want to get her hopes up if we may not be able to do it. THanks!!

following as I'm also curious. I'm booked on the Fantasy Sept 2016 and my DD wants the makeover on the same day as the Royal Court Tea (hopeful but doubt that will happen).

Oh, that would actually be PERFECT if that could work out. We are going August of 2016, so I'll give it a whirl. Have to figure out what costume(s) to bring! Also, hopefully someone can tell us if Shutters photographers are there too.

Let me know what you find out since you are going right before me (ours is Sept 3rd 2016 on Fantasy)

We are on a seven night eastern carribean, on Fantasy, sailing on May 2nd (just checked in for our flight tomorrow morning!!:cheer2:) We booked the Royal Tea on the DCL website, like any other excursion. It is scheduled for day 6, our last sea day. It's an early afternoon time, I believe around 1. We aren't going to tell my daughter we booked it. She knows it exists but we told her it was too expensive. I can't wait to see her face when the invitation shows up in our room. Well, I think I read they send invitations to the room the night before...we'll see.

I've heard it is pricey, how much is it?
I believe it was $280 for one adult and one child. Definitely pricey in my opinion. But my daughter has never been to disney world, so this cruise is her first opportunity to meet the "real" princesses. We chalked the price tag up to a "once in a lifetime" experience. She's seven and I feel like her princess loving days may be coming to an end sooner than later, so we decided to go for it. I doubt we would do it again if we are to cruise a second time.

Yes, it is definitely pricey. But I'm there with you MamaOfAPixie. My girl will be five on our cruise and I don't know when we will go again. So many places to see and visit! I'm glad to know we can book it ahead of time. And of course, I'm hoping it is only on At Sea Days. Thanks for all the info everyone!!

We did this last year on the Fantasy. Our cruise was just a few days after my daughter's 11th birthday, and she asked for this experience for her birthday. I want her to "stay little" as long as I can, so I happily obliged. We were not able to book it before boarding, but I visited GS soon after boarding and was able to get her signed up. I was happy to discover it was on a sea day in the afternoon. There were place cards with personalized sugar cookies, tea trays with fabulous tiny desserts, they brought out a special birthday cupcake and the Princesses sang to her, and the gifts all the girls received included a tiara, jewelry box, doll, necklace & charm bracelet, autograph book and pen. Each princess brought a colored charm "gift" to add to their bracelet. And then the next day we received a professional photograph in a padded case. It was like attending an exclusive show, and I am so thankful we got to experience it together. Truly priceless memories.

Hi - when did you sail in 2014. We sailed April/May 2014 and this wasn't on The Fantasy then. Looking at going again in 2016 so will have to make sure we do this.

We sailed the last week of May last year. There were several empty seats and I wondered if it wasn't well known about at the time.

do they only offer this on the Fantasy? Do they offer this on the Magic? I heard it fills up fast, can silver CC members get it or is it usually sold out by time booking window opens?

We are on the same itinerary ours leaves May 30th. The Princess Tea is available on the 6th day a Sea Day:). It's at 3:00 in the afternoon. You can make a reservation once you booking window opens. Go online to your reservation, then to My Cruise Activities, then to On Board Fun. We are 27 days until our cruise and there is still availibliity.[GALLERY=]image.jpg [/GALLERY]

The paid Princess Tea is only on the Fantasy. I'm not sure if they are still doing it but in the past there has been a small Tea with Alice or with a Princess. You can not make reservations in advance but the day you board go to Guest Services (or maybe the Port Adventures Desk). There is no charge for the tea on the Magic, Tickets are limited and are on a first come first serve basis.

Almost wish I could have gone for myself! But my little one is a boy and princess teas are "too girly" LOL - now if there was an Avengers themed activity, that would be super!

Seriously though, I was a little surprised not to have seen characters present at any of our meal times (we've been to MDRs and Cabanas for breakfast and lunch) during our 7-night cruise on Fantasy... Did I miss something?

We got off the fantasy 2 weeks ago and we did the royal tea party with our three daughters. It definitely is price, but worth it. They absolutely loved it, you get a few gifts (a Cinderella doll, music box, autograph book and jewlery) and a beditorial picture afterwards. There were boys and girls there, the put on a show to introduce each of the princesses.

We are on the same 2016 cruise! And, my name is Kim, too :). We may look into doing this tea. My girls will be 6 and 10.

Wonderful!! My DD will have turned 5 by the cruise by 1 week. Will your dds use the Oceanlab? I hope we run into each other while on the cruise, hopefully we both will be able to attend the tea!!!

Did anyone try to combine this with the Princess makeover at the BBB? I wonder what would be the best time to do the makeover if you wanted to be done in time for the tea. 1:30? 2 at the latest?
