Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes. My sister came out of surgery quite well, she's home and was up for a bit. Right now, she's in bed being the perfect auntie, watching Thomas the Tank Engine with my son, instead of watching something that will entertain her!

YAY! Thanks so much for doing this... we currently do NOT own a stroller because my daughter deosn't use it and if we do need it we rent one at the mall and such... and we didn't want to buy one just for the trip and lug it around the airport, etc and renting there is $$$! So again THANK YOU!!!!

Any reports on the condition of strollers 1 and 2 lately? And just out of curiosity, how small do they fold up? Are we talking total misery on the busses or just a PITA? How about fitting through the stores? Thanks!!

I didn't think they were that much of a PITA. I found to be either the first person on the bus and sit as close to the front or wait to be the very last on the bus...which meant standing but I was the first one off and didn't have to fight the crowds.

I was alone with my DD on our trip and did just fine with it. A couple of times...like when DD was sleeping the driver helped get the stroller off the bus. Plus a few times they left us load on the bus through the back door...which was great!

The only time I had trouble was going through at the park entrances. I usually had to use one of the exit ones at the far end. As for stores...I didn't have a real problem there either. I think it depends on which store.

Hi everyone!!!!

I was the first person on RC4, I added to the stroller a Rain Cover, the last time that I have contact with the first swaper leader she told me that the people was interested on it. I sent pictures from the package and after that I didn't hear nothing. I was reading the post and I feel sorry for what happened on RC3, and I noticed that anybody mentioned the rain cover either.

We saved a lot a money if take part on this swap, so if everyone put a little extra like to take care, clean, or add something this swap can be last a long.

Please try your best to do the swaper hand-to-hand, and if this it is posibble do a list with all the stuff that contain the bag, in my case I did it hand to hand and do a note: Stroller, duffle bag, fan, extra batteries, Mommy Hook, rain cover, etc.

Thanks for the info! I'm still debating whether to rent a car or not for this trip, we have every other time on our family trips but I took the kids alone in June and we used the busses (that was with my Mac Twin though), it was annoying but not too bad. I figure with DH there to help we should be fine.
