I was also going to let you guys know about the condition of #2. mickeymom24 said the canopy was torn around the clear window area. She said the seat is not good at all. Also, the foam on the right side of the handle bar is torn or tearing.

I'm not terribly worried about the tear in the canopy. I will see if it is something that can be repaired once I get there. As for the seat....I still have not received the new one...so we will see if it gets here before I leave. If not....well, let's not go there. The foam....I am wondering if black electrical tape might be an ok repair for this. Any suggestions?

I was at work when I received the call from mickeymom24....so I didn't have much time to chat. I was going over the conversation in my head after I got off the phone with her. I didn't quite understand if she was taking #2 to POP right now or if she was actually going to stroller sit until the end of her trip. A stroller sitting in luggage services until July 3rd mades me a little nervous!

OK...I've read everything and so far so good. Mickeymom24 is awesome in locating and picking everything up.

Did they give you a tracking number when you ordered the seat? Or a confirmation number? It should definitely be to you before you leave next week!

As for the canopy. Would someone from #2 be interested in Donating a new one. I don't think they are that much but if you are interested, you can PM princesses&pirates as she bought one a couple weeks ago.

Hi Swappers! Just dropping in to catch up. I agree with ParkersMomma - you guys are great! Everyone seems to be going out of their way to keep in-touch about the strollers and donate parts when needed.

As I caught up with all the posts, I'd see things go awry, but then they always worked out. So, a bit of advice, DON'T PANIC! I have sooo much confidence in this group that I know ALL little snags will work out. I know none of you are deadbeats and I know all of you are honest and committed. Thanks for making things so easy for Parkers*Momma and all of the swappers.

I asked handy DH. He suggested buying some pipe insulation at Home Depot. It looks almost exactly like the foam handle, can be cut to size and slipped on. However, he didn't have a solution on how to get the foam to stay on the handle. It has a slit down one side and would need to be secured so that it doesn't slide off or shift. He is afraid that electrical tape would get too sticky. But, if used sparingly, say at the ends and twice on the handle, it would probably hold up.

What do other handy folks think?

this foam would be GREAT for a handle, we use it to wrap the pipes when it freezes down here and would definitely solve that problem. To seal the slit... DH says to try colored duck tape ( they have red, blue, green, etc. and it wont get sticky) he said you can even get disney colors and make a design if you are handy.

If I could have seen the future, I guess we would have reserved the canopy for #2, but did what we needed to at the time for the good of the strollers. So... If anyone is looking to donate a canopy, I dont remember the exact price but I think it was 10.99 or 11.99. I ordered a canopy and a strorage basket at the same time, and with shipping, the total was under $29. I thought that was pretty good. It came within 5 days. Even if you are only using the stoller for a day(yeah the time to replace it might not be worth it), this is defintiely worth donating, otherwise you will be paying for the terrible strollers at WDW, $31 a day. That's how I looked it. And if you have it for a week, you are still getting a great deal and the strollers will be in better condition for you and the next. PAY IT FORWARD FOLKS! You will feel good about it in the end.

DH thinks that a 3/4" diameter pipe wrap should work. 3 feet in length should be enough.

Ok, I got a PM from Cannonboy and he wasn't able to pick up the wrap. He didnt get off work until late and still needs to pack to his trip tomorrow

So yes, please that would be awesome if you could bring down the pipe wrap and tape. Whatever color works for you works for us.

Wonderful...I will probably change your swaps a little later in July to cover the biggest gaps. I don't think 4-5 day in Luggage services is bad but a week or longer scares me!

So I walk outside while he's mowing the lawn. He turns off the mower and I ask him what size pipe insulation. He looked at me like, "Seriously, our trip was in February and you're still on this stroller swap thing?" OK. He didn't say it, but I know he was thinking it!

He can pretty much fix anything (except cars).

Now I really am going to bed!!!!
