Royal Anandapur Tea Company in AK

Rooibos Vanilla should be very mild and sweet. It's a fave of mine.

I agree! I have not had it at AK, but I have vanilla rooibos tea every morning at work! I love it!! VERY smooth.

I think I would like to try the Green Dragon Oolong on my next trip. Always wanted to get something here, but it just never worked out. I will be taking a solo trip next year, so it will be perfect!!

I'm totally finding this place when we are there in April. I drink either a cup of Chai or an Earl Grey every morning.

chai tea is black tea mixed with spices (cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn, and cloves. Other possible ingredients include nutmeg, chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, liquorice or saffron. - from the Wiki page... never had it w/ chocolate!!) It usually does inc. vanilla and often honey as a sweetener. It's very delicious. Here's the wiki link..

To answer the OP, and agree w/ another poster, the Green Jasmine would be a good choice. Green Jasmine is one of my favorite teas, and if I'm not mistaken you can sometimes get it iced there, too. If they have it available, I would recommend sweetening it with just a little honey.

rather than bitter. It is an herb, though, not an actual tea. Because of they way they process both Rooibus and Honeybush (it's fermented slightly after being havested) brew up a nice dark (if slightly reddish) color, and have more of a "tea" flavor rather than the "grassy" flavor tht you can get with many herbal teas and even some white and green regular teas.

If you like your tea sweet, but don't like to use artificial sweeteners, try Stevia. Again, this is an herb, that grows in South America that is naturally very sweet, without any calories. You can also buy it in a powder form in the supplement section of health food stores (big sugar companies and the sweetener companies have kept it "banned" labeling it for use as a sweetener in the US by FDA, heaven forbid we cut into their profits with something natural!), and recently I saw one of the largest brands SweetLeaf in Walmart in the sugar aisle! (don't tell the FDA it's there!;) )

An oatmeal cookie! mmmmm...

hahah well put! I never would have thought to describe that way but yes you are right, because of the spices, sugar and milk
it does taste that way. I just had the starbucks version today yum yum. Wish I wasn't going in the dead heat of summer hahaha.

This may sound silly, but can someone tell me what kind of cup they are served in?

The location is just a stand on the side of the path in Asia. There is no seating. Consequently, hot teas are all served in a paper-type to-go hot cup with a plastic lid complete with sipping hole. The tea leaves themselves are loose but scooped into filter sachets so you can let it steep as much as you like without having to worry about tea leaves floating around in your brew.

As for the question of naturally sweet teas, either of the two Rooibos teas (one has vanilla added in the blend) or the Honeybush will have its own sweetness in the leaves themselves.

I haven't tried their masala chai blend, but that should carry a sweetness on its own, too. They also serve hot chai lattes (I don't know if those are made from the steeped masala chai blend or a pre-sweetened mix like Big Train or Tazo) and chai freezes (I also haven't tried those but they look like a pre-sweetened frozen chai granita mix).
They also serve a few iced teas at the stand. I always pick the iced peppermint tea on a hot day. It's unsweetened and very refreshing.

Thank you, just what I wanted to know.

I had honeybush with no sugar and loved it. I love tea (or do i love sugar?) but I usually have like 4 sugar in one. I had none in this and it was so good.

On a side note, I wish other parks had interesting and different carts like this one. Wouldn't have to be tea, but non standard park food. I would also LOVE to see apple cider in MK. I cant drink milk, so hot chocolate isn't an option.

Just a heads up, do not try the coconut fruit freeze here. It was pretty icky, way too sweet and not at all refreshing.

The roobios vanilla is a great choice, however!

I had no idea this place existed! My husband is a tea snob - so if it actually good tea, he'll be thrilled!!

I like the chai. I also had this frozen berry tea drink while I was there that was fantastic. My parents said that the coffee here was the best in WDW.
