Thanks for asking Sarah!
Well I just got back from a 2.53 mile walk n' run

But rewind to end of last week. My hubby had to work late (like past 11pm) two nights in a row. So I decided to take my little to the park and I wore just my normal walking around shoes and it was fine.
Yesterdays schedule was too packed and this morning my hubby ran (And PR'd!!) a 5k this morning while I took the kiddo to swim lessons. This afternoon I just decided to put on my running shoes and see what happened.
Immediately after lacing them up my foot felt all wrong in my shoe. It didn't feel that way in any of my other various work and walking shoes end of this week. I think my shoes have reached their expiration. I think I already knew that but just wanted to wear them through my last 10k. Think that was the mistake. They almost make my inner ankles roll in a smidge.
So I walked for .25 and it felt not right. Not painful, but not right. So I jogged for about two blocks, walked two, jogged two and was back at my house. I stood staring at my house (I don't know why.). Then I sat at my porch..like I was waiting for some magical decision on what to do next to land on my head. Then I went inside and my hubby asked how I felt. Ummm???? Fine, my food felt weird but now it actually felt kind of fine. So he said go run a mile and see. So I did and then a little more. 2.53 at 14:03 (included my initial walk breaks and my pacing in my living room which was at about 22:53 pace, haha)
Soooooo....my foot feels better out of the shoes and in my fuzzy slippers. I'm doing the wait and see on how it feels an hour from now and then two hours from now and then when I wake up, etc.
I'm optimistic but I really think it's now or never on the new shoes. Luckily I saw my father in law today who handed me a $20 off at road runners so that's a sign right?
Dinner now, GOT later, and then pray the foot is happy.
I love running, though. That was confirmed with how I love how I feel when I'm out there, even when just 2.53 miles of walk n' running
